Crane USA Review & Giveaway

While humidifiers are one of the best ways to relieve nasal congestion during cold and flu season, most people don’t break into a smile about the traditionally unexciting appliance. Crane USA Inc. is proud to introduce their uniquely designed adorable animal shaped cool mist humidifiers along with Crane's licensed humidifier designs such as Hello Kitty and SpongeBob Squarepants.
When you or your children are sick with the cold and flu, breathing through a stuffy nose is miserable. Crane’s cool mist humidifiers help to moisten up the nasal passages and soothe dry coughs so that children can breathe easier and sleep peacefully at night. Crane humidifiers are whisper quiet, run up to 24 hours and do not require a filter. Sometimes the best medicine is no medicine!

• Non-medicated relief for cold and flu symptoms
• Variable humidity control
• Whisper quiet operation
• 1 gallon tank runs up to 24 hours
• Up to 2.1 gallon moist output per day
• Removable water tank for easy carry and refill
• Auto-shut off when tank is empty
• Low power consumption

The picture you're about to see is WHY I contacted Crane USA

McKenzie has had nose bleeds for a while now, but never as bad as the picture above, and it scared me! Normally hers were just little ones that would be noticable when she woke up because you could see it at the end of her nose but after this nose bleed, I knew it just wasn't normal anymore.

I contacted Crane USA and they happily agreed to a review and giveaway of their product. I chose to wait a little while for their ADORABLES OWL humidifier because it goes perfectly with her room!

We love this humidifier!! McKenzie has only had one very very small nose bleed since we received it on November 4. McKenzie loves turning it on every night and then off every morning. As I uploaded these pictures, she gasped and said "MY OWL!" I'm so glad that I don't have to worry as much anymore about the nose bleeds and its helped with the head colds too. She had a cold when it arrived and the first morning after we used it, everything was all dried up LOL.

I highly recommend one of these humidifiers! They're easy to fill up, blow out cool air for safety, and truly work! Another plus is that they really are quiet. I can barely hear it through our baby monitor and thats only because they're close to each other.

Crane USA has generously offered one of my readers any humidifier of their choice, excluding the Germ Defense Line. So many to choose from, I don't envy the winner in trying to decide ;)

Here's the links to their different humidifiers and then enter in the Rafflecopter below for your chance to win your own!

28 Weeks/Baby Name Announcement

28 Weeks!!
I'm officially seven months pregnant and in my third and final trimester.

Since my last update, my nausea has returned. It's random and doesn't care what time of day, it comes and goes. Went to my check up on Monday and I've lost about half a pound or so which means I'm hovering around 6-7 pounds gained this pregnancy. I would like for it to be a little more but that's where I should be based off my other pregnancies. It was also discovered on Monday that my reason for never being able to breathe is because she's breech. I could care less at this point how she's positioned because I still have three months left to go but I will still make sure he checks her placement each appointment from now on.

It's incredibly difficult to do normal things now. Walking up the stairs you'd think I just ran a mile, picking up McKenzie to get her in her crib, vacuuming, BENDING OVER lol. Even though I don't gain a lot of weight I still have all the things that interfere with pregnancy and one of those is also now waddling. Yep! I waddle. It's mainly at night after I eat dinner. I swear I double in size from the time I get up in the AM until I lay down in the PM.

Baby's Name!

I'm honestly STILL a little shocked at the idea I'm having another little girl. I've known since Sept 22 but sometimes I'm just like WOW! I really and truly thought we were having a boy!

Because of this, we never really thought too much about names, especially GIRL names. I knew if it was a boy, I wanted the name Mason. I asked my husband about Maci for a girl and he didn't seem too thrilled so we just left it alone until we knew the gender. Once we found out she was a girl, there we were bickering over a name because he didn't want to budge on his name choice. It was hard this time because we had girl names picked out so easily with Madison and McKenzie, so walking out of the ultrasound room with their genders, we already knew their name and it was set from that day on. This baby on the other hand, was definitely a challenge on choosing a name, but I caved and let Chris have his name choice because my name choice fits as well.

Let me explain her name a little bit.

Before we knew the gender, my husband said Mason BOY OR GIRL, and didn't want to really talk about any other option. MASON IS A BOY NAME! He kept fighting that he'd met girls named Mason and that it wasn't a big deal but I had and still have a fear that she'll question her name and think we're not happy she's a girl.

My arguement was this.. "If he's so serious about her LEGAL NAME being Mason, I get to choose the spelling, and can call her Macy if I so choose once she gets here" He was fine with it!

I've already heard that people will get confused by her spelling but really look at it for a minute and you will see that it's MACY (N) and I think it's perfect because its a very easy transition for her if she chooses to go by Macy at an older age.

Now, her middle name is something else too. I never knew that LEIGH is pronounced LEE. My husband also came up with her middle name of Leigh and I added Ann, not only after my mother and and maternal grand-mother, but a feminine tough as well.

There you have it, our baby girl's name is Macyn Leigh-Ann and she will be making her grand arrival in three short months :)

12 Days of Gifts Galore Giveaway Hop

gifts galore hop

Welcome to 12 Days of Gifts Galore Giveaway Hop hosted by Tales From the Nursery, Formula Mom, and Mama on a Green Misson. There's over $5,000 in prizes offered to help you get the gifts you need this holiday season. After you are done entering my giveaway you'll want to check out everyone else's AND enter for a chance to win one of three GRAND prizes sponsored by Kudzoom! Each blog you stop and enter at will be another entry!

I'm proud to be apart of my first blog hop and hope that its a big success!

My 12 Days of Gifts Galore Sponsor is Lovable Labels with their
Holly Jolly Gift Pack.

This set retails for $24.99 and is available in two versions,
"Christmas Jewels" and "Santa's Pack"

"Christmas Jewels" is pinks and purple and great for little girls,
while "Santa's Pack" is great for little boys with oranges, greens, and blues
and both has a splash of red.

Wrapped in a pretty red foil package, the recipient of this giveaway will receive 15 Multi-Purpose Stickers,40 Slimline Labels, 12 Shoe Labels, 24 Press N' Stick Clothing Dots ( 6 Large, 6 Medium, and 12 Small) and 2 Mini-Metal Tags. Everything you need to cover the basics and more! You'll also choose your own icon.

This is my third time working with Lovable Labels and I'm happy to have them as a sponsor for this event because they truly are a great company! They offer such a variety of options for everyone in your household, so it's like a one stop shop when searching for items for your whole family!

I love these because they're perfect for school age children. Madison is only 4 and in pre-school but when they say label everything, they mean it!! We had to get out her winter coat last week so now I will be using these labels for her gloves and scarf as well as her coat because you never know with little kids where stuff might end up! I love seeing the red dog tag hang off her book bag as well. Since she is only 4 and I have a younger daughter, I don't like the thought of using a PERMANENT marker to write names in items because I can re-use all the items Madison will out grow so if you're a parent, these sets are a MUST, not only to keep track of your child's belongings while at daycare or school, but it's also a fun, different way to show off their personality with the little icons, like my daughter's butterfly.

One major plus for me as well is that everything comes in a book so you don't have random stickers falling out all over the place and hard to maintain. I have the book put up and when I need a sticker, they're all there, ready to go and I choose the size, stick it on, and we're on our way!

I hope you've enjoyed my review of this item from Lovable Labels, and be sure to hop around to the other blogs with their amazing giveaways as well! I know I'll be entering plenty of my own, and just in time for the holidays, so you never know, you might just win some amazing Christmas gifts!!

Hank Player WINNER!

I was a little nervous about this giveaway. Hank Player's request was that a mandatory entry be to sign up for their newsletter, and unfortunately I had to delete multiple entries of people clicking on the "Follow GFC" tab and then not doing the second mandatory entry of subscribing.

After letting Hank Player know what was happening, they happily changed the mandatory entry and this giveaway seemed to go a lot smoother.

Out of 263 VALID entries, Rafflecopter chose
#163, Heather Mahan!

Congrats to Heather, who will receive two shirts from Hank Player!

Thank you all for entering and don't forget to check back next week for my first blog hop and the month of December, dedicated to giving away FLUFF!!

Winner has 48 hours to respond, otherwise another winner will be chosen!

Getting some old features of Facebook back!

We all know Facebook can't make up their mind and is constantly changing!

Personally I'm way over it and wish I had the old features back so I could see everything and do what I want.

I've recently discovered two different ways to get some of the old features slightly back.

First up, changing your newsfeed so you see the most recent post first, instead of what Facebook thinks you might find important!

Click the SORT button

Click on Recent Stories First

Should say same as above afterwards.
I've had to change this a few times because it switches itself but worth it!

Next up is an easy way to keep track of your favorite blog's Facebook pages.

I don't know if its the Facebook changes or I'm just boring, but I get almost NO interaction on the Facebook page for this blog. This is where I announce new sponsors, ask for feedback and opinions, and also post winners as a secondary place to find who wins!

With these Facebook rules, you HAVE to interact with the Facebook page in order for it to show up in your newsfeed, so that means simply going to their page, commenting on some posts or pictures, and liking some things every few days until Facebook realizes you WANT to see what that page has to offer.

I have a Samsung Windows Phone and my Facebook application has not changed so I can see all the Facebook pages and all the people on my friends list, but only a fraction on the computer. Just the other day I liked one page's things through my phone AND through the computer so they would pop up.

I am nearly begging you all, if you like my blog and what I have to offer, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go through my Facebook page and GO CRAZY until I start popping up in your newsfeed. I post at least one thing a day, either pictures, giveaways I post, giveaways I enter, or changes I've made to giveaways.

The following YouTube video also shows you how to create a Favorites tab so you can select your favorite pages and never miss when they post.

Hopefully you all found this helpful, and I'm glad to have you all around and look forward to interaction on Facebook as well :)

Kiki's Maternity Fashions Review & Giveaway

KiKi's Maternity Fashions was started in 2004 and  is an online retail store carrying trendy, cute and affordable maternity clothing.

I always have a hard time with maternity clothes because I don't like to spend a lot of money on stuff that's just going to sit in my closet afterwards.

KiKi's is a great place to shop because they have a huge variety of items that are always changing, along with a $10 and under section as well as a great clearance section. Their site is also very organized with a New Items, Short Sleeve, Long Sleeve, Tanks, Dresses, and Bottoms sections, so you can easily navigate around and find what you're looking for. Their site also coordinates with colors so you'll find all the pinks, blues, greens, all together before switching to the next color of items.

I wrote them over the summer because I knew they were a company I wanted to work with during this pregnancy. I jumped the gun and chose a summer shirt, but our tricky weather this year has me wishing I would've waited to review one of their many adorable winter sweaters.

I chose a hot pink tank top with two black flowers on the shoulder, and I have mixed feelings about this shirt. I got a Large because I thought it would fit but it wasn't quite as long as I would like for my own personal taste. I also didn't know that it is HAND WASH only until I looked at the tags, so I only wore it when I really wanted to look nice. My big con about this shirt is that it is somewhat see through. Being a naturally bigger girl, this made me self conscious, and I've since noticed if you look carefully on their site you can tell if some other items are slightly see through as well, like this shirt pictured below and then my shirt below that picture.

You can see my star tattoo as well as the waist of the pants

In the company's defense, they do say that their sizes may run a little small so I strongly believe in taking that into consideration when shopping. The only thing the see through has made me realize, is to take my time and really look at the picture of the model from all three angles they provide, and try to get a good feel of how it will look on me, instead of just going off of what looks the cutest and hoping it fits.

Once HUGE plus for me with KiKi's is that if you look at the right shirts, they don't all have that pregnancy tie that goes around to your back, so after baby they look like regular shirts! I love this feature because I'm willing to pass on a shirt I like to just find another one without the tie that I'll be able to wear for much longer than 6 months.

My final thoughts are this, as long as you take your time looking on their site, really paying attention to the size chart for EACH ITEM, and find something you fall in love with, you'll be very happy with this company!

Vote For McKenzie!!

Nicki's Diapers is having a "contest" on Facebook

It has been brought to our attention that some are not happy about the voting method and that it may not be in compliance with Facebook regulations. We've decided to move forward with the contest with some slight modifications to fit into the guidelines of Facebook AND we are increasing the value of the most "Creative" picture prize to $50! We will now select the winner of the "Cutest Cutie in Cloth" for a $100 Nicki's Diapers Gift Certificate but will take into consideration the "Likes" and comments for each picture! SO we still NEED YOU to spread the word and would greatly appreciate your help in telling your family and friends about modern cloth diapers by encouraging them to comment and "Like" your little one's picture! We will also select what we believe to be the most creative entry for a $50 Nicki's Diapers Gift Certificate! Both winners will be announced on Monday, November 21st!

I need your HELP! With the upcoming arrival of baby #3 we could use more cloth diapers and this gift certificate would help a lot. Especially because they have Fuzzibunz "Diaper Talk" Line which features a CUPCAKE diaper. Retail value is $21.95 and if I won this gift card I would be getting one for sure!!

There will extra entry opportunities for this voting in the Hank Player USA contest going on now HERE, then KiKi's Maternity Clothes Giveaway.

So PLEASE, LIKE Nicki's Diapers on FB,
Find their "Cuties in Cloth" album,
McKenzie's picture is the tenth one, HERE

Cloth Diaper Stains, OH MY!

I've been cloth diapering since March 2011 after discovering McKenzie was allergic to Huggies disposable diapers.

I'm still very much learning the ends and outs of what it takes to cloth diaper, and don't even have a detergent yet that I LOVE.

I would love some feedback on the following stains pictured below.

McKenzie had an upset tummy for a few days and unfortunately these two diapers seemed to take a big hit and I'm not sure how to get them stain free and pretty again!

Help Me Choose

My blog has been open for just over a month now. If you follow me, especially from the beginning, you'll know I'm OBSESSED with cupcakes.

I could go on and on about what cupcake things I have, items of clothing the girls have, my tattoo of cupcakes, etc etc.

About a month ago I found this Etsy shop LittleBabyBumblebee and fell in love with the cupcake stickers.

Unfortunately I was too late when it came to the Pregnancy Belly Stickers, but the shop also offers a ton of choices for monthly stickers for our children. When I found this shop, I'm pretty sure it only had one monthly sticker option with cupcakes, however I just went to it again and there's SIX!! Yes, SIX!!

I THINK I know what my favorite is, but I would love opinions because I can be so indecisive when it comes to cupcakes items and what might look best or which style to choose.

Below each picture is a number, please comment with your choice of favorite sticker :)

These sets are only $9 so I will be buying them if I hear no response to a blog review!
