Lansinoh Review & Giveaway 3/17

Our Lansinoh family started over 25 years ago with a breastfeeding mom creating her own pure lanolin nipple cream when no other could be found. Today, our breastfeeding and baby supplies are still made by moms, for moms and we put thought, care and practicality into all of our products.

When moms choose to breastfeed, we believe they should have the support and encouragement they need to experience all of its benefits, and ensure baby feels the same. We'll always take our mothers seriously and their needs personally, creating high-quality products moms want and can trust as they nurture their babies and develop a special bond only formed in motherhood.

When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I used Lansinoh products. I don't remember where I got the items from, but knowing nothing about breast feeding, I was happy to have them because I didn't prepare for breastfeeding accessories.

Lansinoh HPA Lanolin, the leading product in its category, soothes, heals and protects sore cracked nipples. It is the only topical nipple cream endorsed in the US by La Leche League International*, considered the foremost experts on breastfeeding.

Since I went in to natural labor with Macyn, I did not have a bag packed and I forgot my Lanolin cream at our home. Only I knew where it was so I didn't obther with asking someone to try to find it for me. I can't express how over joyed I was when the hospital had samples of this cream!
Macyn is a very good breast feeding baby and my nipples had a lot of damage while in the hospital. I have naturally small children so it's difficult to breastfeed properly and this means PAIN. Unfortunately this time around, I also experienced bleeding nipples. Luckily the Lanolin cream rescued me!
My favorite thing about this cream is that after applied, it starts working immediately. I put on the cream and with the next feeding I had some relief! Since this cream is also safe for baby, I didn't have to worry about wiping off my nipples before each feeding, yet another big plus! After each feeding, I would apply more cream, and the next day I was all better and feeling great. I still use the cream when I feel like my nipples need a little boost!
Guess what I learned from the Lansinoh USA facebook page...
You can use the Lanolin cream for chapped lips!!!
When I discovered this I was sick and my lips were very chapped so I decided to give it a try. I applied a small amount before bed, just enough to coat my lips, and when Macyn woke up for her next feeding, the cream had soaked in to my lips and they didn't feel so fragile and weren't cracking and peeling so easily.
I think the Lansinoh HPA Lanolin cream is a must for any breast feeding mom!
Your nipples will thank you.
Lansinoh Disposable Nursing Pads offer effective, discreet protection from leakage. They have a special absorbent polymer and stay-dry lining to draw milk away and into the core of the pad, keeping the skin and clothing dry.

Even though they're disposable and I'm more in to cloth this time around, I use and love these nursing pads. They're a great size and have two sticky spots to help attach to your bra and stay in place.
I do look at the pads after using them for a while and you can tell that there is special materials to pull everything in to the middle of the pad. The part touching the breast feels dry to the touch, and yet you can see the leaked milk and even feel it in the middle of the pad. There's actually a gel like feeling if you squeeze where the milk is.

Soothies by Lansinoh Gel Pads provide instant, cooling relief to breastfeeding mothers with sore nipples. These safe, reusable and absorbent gel pads soothe and protect the delicate nipple area to enhance breastfeeding success.
Soothes, relieves & helps heal sore nipples
Instant, cooling pain relief
Protects nipples from friction
Gel pads are reusable for up to 72 hours

Since I have not had any major nipples issues besides in the hospital, I have not found a need to use the Soothies Gel Pads, BUT they're never out of reach just in case I should need them in the future!
