I'll be telling you about the Cradle Cap Treatment and Eczema Wash & Cream

Cradle cap gets its name because it’s common in infants (hence cradle) and is usually found on the scalp (or cap). It occurs when a newborn’s oil–producing glands become overactive. Some doctors believe this happens because of mother’s hormones still being in the baby’s circulation. Doctors call cradle cap a form of seborrheic dermatitis, which can affect other areas of the body where there are a lot of oil-producing sebaceous glands.

It took me a while to realize Macyn had cradle cap. Our other girls didn't get it and Macyn's wasn't after birth so I had no clue what it was. Since doctors think it can be caused by mom's hormones and we're still breastfeeding, that is my only explanation as to why she got it at 2 months old.
Macyn had big thick patches in the very front of her head and no matter what I did, they wouldn't go away.
With the first treatment of the Cradle Cap, they were gone! I was so shocked! Finally I had gotten rid of the patches that had long been a pain in my side! Then there was a big downfall.... THIS TREATMENT STINKS!!!!! After you wash their hair with this treatment, you follow up with regular shampoo and that did NOT take away the smell. I even washed her hair a second time an hour later because the smell was so awful. The next day when my mother in law visited, she was taken aback by the smell and then I felt bad that my baby had such a horrible odor on her that I couldn't get to go away. I used this treatment again last night for the lingering patches and the picture above is the result. While I think this does work, using it at the first sign of cradle cap would've been better, and I think her hair also makes it harder because there's a lot on top!
Next, I'll give you some information about the Eczema Wash.
Eczema is a dry, itchy skin rash that worries moms and irritates babies. Despite the alarm, eczema isn't harmful. Atopic eczema is the most common type of eczema that affects infants.
Environmental factors can trigger eczema, including heat, scratchy fabrics, common house dust, animal dander, or detergents. Sometimes, eczema can be an allergic reaction to baby’s food or milk.
Eczema usually first appears between two to six months. It usually disappears or improves from two to three years of age.
Gentle Naturals® Eczema Baby Wash has gentle cleansers that won’t irritate sensitive skin and natural moisturizers to soothe the itching
McKenzie had a HORRIBLE case of Eczema when she was younger. I first noticed it around 4 months around her left eyebrow. I thought it was just dry skin because it was white and flaky, but after not going away with constant lotion treatments, it was brought up to her pediatrician who suggested some topical cream. After a few times with the cream it was gone. Everytime she would have a flair up, I'd use the cream, and it would go away.
After  a couple months I noticed that it was becoming more frequent and was showing up in new spots. The cream was no longer working, and we had to start prescription cream. FINALLY, we realized her issue was disposable diapers and after our switch to cloth, it's never come back.
I wish we were suggested something like the Eczema Wash. I could've helped her skin before it got really bad.
Ways you can help the Eczema is by taking short, luke warm baths, laundry detergents for sensitive skin, and even watch for possible food triggers that make flair up episodes.
After bath, applying Gentle Natural Baby Eczema Cream forms a barrier on the skin to lock in moisture and prevent moisture loss.
Both bath products contain a special formulation with aloe vera, calendula, jojoba oil, apricot oil, and soybean oil to nurture skin and help it heal.

The key to the Eczema Cream is applying generous amounts on baby's skin as often as needed to help moisturize and protect their delicate skin. It's fragrance free and has rich moisturizers to help soothe itchy skin and heal the break outs.

Even though we only had one child out of our three to have Eczema, I'm really glad I know about this Gentle Naturals line and since Macyn is only 3 months old, it could pop up on her delicate skin and if it does, I'll have these ready and on hand to help treat before it gets too crazy like it did with McKenzie.
