Small Concept Review & Giveaway Ends 7/20

Small Concept was born from a love for children and an obsession with tiny tot style. Modern fashion. Cool Styles. Hip Graphics. Great quality - in everything for your little ones - kid's apparel, nursery furniture, toys & more.

Fabric: 95% Polyester/5% Spandex. Care: Hand wash cold, hang dry or dry clean.

I was excited to work with Small Concept because I fell in love with this dress!

I've always wanted to try a maxi dress, but was never sure how I would look in one. With the ever growing popularity of maxi dresses, I decided to take the plunge and see what they were all about.

Lower in the back than I prefer
great color combinations

nice and flowing fabric

Since this was a new dress, I waited the couple weeks and decided to wear it at McKenzie's 3rd birthday party. I felt this was a great way to really see how well the dress does while moving around through out the busy day of a birthday party, cleaning up, and trying to do the million things a mother does to ensure a birthday party goes off amazingly!

This is technically a maternity maxi dress, but I fell in love with it, so I decided to get it anyway. Their biggest size was said to fit 12-14, but I'm bigger than that (18-20) so I got it and hoped it landed in all the right places.

I actually should have gotten a size below because of the fit on me. Even though I'm plus size, that's essentially only in my waist, mainly from having children. This dress was too long for me, but could be fixed with a small heel or wedge, and then the back comes down lower than I prefer. That however is more of a personal opinion because I think it looks just fine in the pictures. I could feel it slowly moving down so I found myself pulling it up several times.

This dress is so soft and free flowing!
The dress is polyester but feels like silk so its soft to the skin, and my girls kept petting me telling me I was so soft. The little bit of spandex in the dress helps with just enough cling so you can see your figure, but not too much to where its clinging to you. Because I am bigger in the waist, this was a plus for me!

My only real issue with this dress is that there is no type of breast support. I am a bigger chested woman, and after three children I cannot go with out a bra. Also because I'm breastfeeding, it's ideal for a bra since I need pads to help with leaking. I was able to put breast pads in this top and easily breastfeed because you can move the front around to make the breast area big or small. In an effort for support, we tied the halter as much as we could without it looking weird and that seemed to help.

Overall, I really like this dress!!
We'll be doing family pictures next month when Macyn turns 6 months and I plan on wearing this dress for our outdoor pictures. Since its thin and breezy, its great for these hot summer months we have!

Normal retail value for this dress is $138
Currently its on sale for $90.
