Talking Tattoos Tuesday Week 9

Welcome to week 9 of Talkin' Tattoos Tuesday! I did an intro post where I explained my goal in posting these every week and how you can submit your photo to be featured. Check out the post if you need to refresh your memory. Since I've went through all my tattoos, now I'll be sharing photos I've found online, and the occasional viewer submission when they come in.

I follow a Facebook page called The Tattoo Page and I've seen some really neat stuff on there. This picture above popped up in my feed one day and I knew I wanted to share it with you all.

The story behind is tattoo is that the mom got the same tattoo as her child's birth mark. I thought this was such a sweet gesture of love for her child, and a great memory to have.

I do wonder, as the child ages, will the birth mark fade, change shape, or even disappear? This tattoo was done so well that I first thought it was matching birth marks my pure luck, until I read more.

My girls all have strawberry patches on the back of their necks, as well as "stork bites" on their faces. They're all in the same spot. It's something the three of them share and I find it to be so very special. What are the chances that all three of my girls would have the same birth marks?

Do you have birth marks like family members, or do your children share marks like mine?

Leave your thoughts below, I'd love to hear from you!

I also love this tattoo!!

Both mine have a stork bite on their left eyelid. Avery's has faded quite a bit, but they both had it at birth.

I have an M on my leg, which is convenient since my maiden name starts with an M.

Avery has a big ole mark on her right butt cheek. It started showing up around 2 months and just got bigger darker with time until she was about 3.

My son and I have the same stork bite on the left side of our noses. He and my husband both have them on the back of their necks right at the hairline.
