GoGreen Pocket Diapers: Champ 3.0 Review

Thank you GoGreen Diapers for the diaper to help with this review

GoGreen Diapers was developed by Leah, a mother of three boys, who were all in diapers at the same time. Using the collective experience from her years of education in science and engineering, Leah addressed the functional problems common to most cloth diaper designs head-on, and developed the GoGreen Diapers Champ® cloth diaper with Dual Gussets™ Technology, exclusive Adapt-a-Snap™ diaper closure conversion system, and revolutionary ammonia-inhibiting laundry additive No-mmonia.

While the Champ 3.0 looks like their old 2.0 diapers, most of the updated work is inside!

GoGreen Diapers has added a second layer of PUL to help with durability as well as the life span of the diaper. The leg Gussets have also been improved and as you can see by the picture above, they're huge which is great to contain messes! They have also widened the back opening to help the insert come out easier in the wash and the bigger front opening means easier and quicker stuffing!
I chose to review with the Pop Rocks print you see above because its very gender neutral and doesn't look like any of our other diapers in our current stash. Since we don't know the gender of baby #4 yet, I figured this would be a good alternative for us in the off chance that we have a little boy.

Macyn is currently 17 months old, in size 12-18 month clothes, and weighs about 25lbs. We're on the highest rise setting and still plenty of room to go in the waist. Since all GoGreen diaper snaps are color coordinated, this means I can easily go to the green snap each time and it makes my job faster on a squirmy toddler that would rather not sit through a diaper changing.

GoGreen Diapers was one of my very first diaper wins back when I first started entering giveaways in November 2010. I have seen every stage of this company's diaper as they've listened to the fans, made great changes where needed, and improved to ensure they make the best diaper possible. I truly believe that GoGreen Diapers has done just that. I'd purchased several 2.0 diapers and they were my go-to diapers and everything about them was perfect so when they came out with the 3.0 I knew it would be even better than before!

Above you'll see my only two pet peeves about the 3.0 diaper. I wouldn't say "flaw" because the diaper works just fine, but for my personal preference I'd rather it be a little different.

The top picture shows the front of the diaper. It doesn't lay flat and when I go to pull it up to fasten together, it seems to pull down more where the insert is snapped in, and I often find myself adjusting the diaper again to make sure its flat. Some times I fasten it together and then fix it once its on Macyn so I know it'll stay in place.

The bottom picture is the back of the diaper. Since the elastic is so tight, the flap often gets bunched up underneath so when I go to snap the diaper I have to adjust it before I can get it snapped in place. With the 2.0's this back piece layed flat and I guess maybe I'm just too used to that version.

Other than the two little things I mentioned above, I really love GoGreen diapers and am so happy with this company. I've been a fan since they opened and I will continue to be a fan, especially with another baby due in December and wanting to expand my stash more!

One HUGE plus is the hip snaps. I tried to cloth diaper Macyn as a young baby and GoGreen was about my only option because they fit such small petite babies. The hip snaps allowed such a tiny leg hole that I could see these working well on even tinier babies (5-6lbs) and still hold up just as well as they did when Macyn was so small.

The Champ 3.0 diapers are made for sizes 6-45lbs with four rise settings.
The Champ 3.0 diapers retail for $14.95/diaper and come in many colors and prints.
They also offer a great discount when you buy their Champ Basic 6 pack RV: $79.99

You can connect with GoGreen Diapers on their Facebook, Twitter, and website today!

Join myself and many other bloggers tomorrow for the Summer Fluffing Cloth Diaper hop where one of the prizes on Mama's Baby Cupcakes will be one GoGreen diaper of winner's in stock choice, available to the US only.

I like the black with the rainbow snaps at the top of your review, but I don't see that on their website, so I would pick the Princess & the Pee.
