Showcasing Halloween with The Pecking Order

Thank you The Pecking Order for the maternity shirt to help with this review
Zoey’s Attic officially launched in November 2006 by creator and owner Erin Delanty.  The inspiration for the website came shortly after the birth of their first child. Once they decided to grow their family it was a no brainer to have the store where families could come and get personalized items for children of any age!

I first heard about The Pecking Order shortly before giving birth to our third daughter in February 2012. We got sibling shirts and they're very special to my heart. Ever since then we've used Erin's help in celebrating holidays and birthdays, as well as other events like my co-blogger Lakeon announcing her pregnancy to her family, and new sibling sets for the girls and baby #4 when she arrives in December. With Halloween right around the corner, why not use The Pecking Order to help us celebrate in style?!

I was very excited about their Halloween themed tote bags. As our kids get older, I know they'll want to go further when Trick-Or-Treating, and the little plastic pumpkins from Wal-Mart can only hold so much!! Along with the purchase of three Halloween Totes, I thought it would be cute to celebrate this last pregnancy with a special shirt while I pass out candy to trick-or-treaters, so Erin and I worked it out to ship the maternity shirt as a review at the same time I made my purchase of the totes and another item.

I couldn't help but smile when I pulled the totes out of the package. They're so cute and funny and well.... PERFECT! I knew as soon as I saw each design on the website that I wouldn't have a problem fitting each one of the girls' personalities to a tote bag.

Madison has a sweet tooth. She loves all kinds of candy, and even had a Candyland themed 5th birthday party last Fall. Having candy on her tote was a perfect fit for her and her love of sweets.

McKenzie has loved owls for about two years now, and even had an owl themed room until recently. Since her favorite color also happens to be purple like the owl on the bag, how could I not get it?! The girls also get a kick out of the saying on the bag and I honestly love reading it to them just to hear them giggle.

Macyn, being under 2yrs old, doesn't really have an opinion on her choice of bag. The Jack-O-Lantern however, fits her very well. She has a round face, big smile, and not a whole lot of a teeth for her age.

On The Pecking Order website you'll find 9 different Halloween Tote Bags to choose from. All the halloween totes are 100% cotton vs 100% heavy duty organic cotton like their other bags, and this is why they're such a great affordable rate of $12 per bag. Each bag also measures 15"x15" and has two handles for easy carry while on the go.

Like I said above, this baby will be our last. I was pregnant Halloween 2011, but just wore a normal shirt and passed out candy. I really liked the thought of going the extra mile this time and having fun with this holiday. I'll be just shy of 35 weeks pregnant on Halloween and will be showing very well around the shirt. While I know I won't be walking around for hours, I'm already looking forward to passing out candy and showing my bump off.

These photos aren't the best, but I wanted to wait until the last minute to get a picture of as big a belly as possible, but my husband was out of town and I had to rely on my girls for the front photo ;)

This shirt comes in maternity or regular women's fit. I chose maternity to ensure I had plenty of room and stretch, and also chose a 2X because I'm plus size and always prefer a little extra room vs too tight. This shirt is very soft to the touch and oh so comfy when wearing! It felt a little tight around my shoulders, but very free flowing toward the bottom. Since I still have about two months to go until Halloween, I have no doubt this shirt will fit great and show off Miss Mya wonderfully as she settles under the shirt. You can also pay an additional $5 to get long sleeves if you so choose. Depending on the weather, I'll either go in the shirt or layer underneath so I'll be warm but still have the shirt very visible to others. Since we live in Indiana, its always up in the air as to how our weather will hold up on Halloween.

This Mummy To Be Halloween Shirt retails on the site for $27.50. Available sizes range from S-XXL and come in short or long sleeves. As always, images on the shirts are digitally printed on and won't crack or fade over time from wears and washes. You can also personalize with a name if you'd like to make it even more special!

Join us Sept 2-16 to participate in the "A Haunted Halloween" Giveaway Hop. We'll be the first to change up normal giveaways with The Pecking Order and the winner will receive either ONE maternity shirt like reviewed above, or TWO Halloween totes.
