Holiday Gift Guide: Little Tikes Activity Garden

Thank you Little Tikes for the Activity Center to help with this review

As we approach the upcoming Holiday season, Mama's Baby Cupcakes has teamed up with several companies we think would be a great fit to purchase/wear/give to others in the upcoming months. Thanks to each and every sponsor showcased in our Holiday Gift Guide, and if you see the cute button above then you know its Holiday approved!

The Little Tikes Company was founded in 1970. It is a multi-national manufacturer and marketer of high-quality, innovative childrens products. In November of 2006, Little Tikes became a part of MGA Entertainment. Our headquarters and largest manufacturing facility are located in Hudson, Ohio. We also have a number of manufacturing and distribution centers in Europe and Asia. Our goal is to create and supply innovative products to customers and consumers around the world.

Macyn will be 2yrs old in February and is currently at a great age for this Little Tikes Activity Garden. I was so excited to receive this in the mail because with cold weather approaching, finding new ways to entertain small children indoors can be quite a task.

This Little Tikes Activity Garden has a suggested age range for 6 months to 3yrs old and features a wide variety of items to play with.

I really like the size of the box this set comes in. Its not heavy or big and bulky, and also comes inside a brown box which is great for little kids. We've had presents in the past come with the regular box like you'd buy at the store, and then we'd have to quickly find a place to put it so our kid's didn't see the colorful pictures on the sides.

As you can see above, there isn't a huge amount of parts to put together. There is a small bag of screws, but my sister and husband put it together in about 10 minutes. You can't ask for a quicker set up than that when it comes to children's toys! After opening presents comes putting it all together, so having something to quickly put up and play with is a great feature and a must with young children.

With two different stages on this toy, its great for all ages. You have it enclosed like a little house, or open with the slide connecting the two. This makes it easier when multiple children are playing together because you can ensure they're not stepping on one another and they have room to enjoy themselves.

Since Macyn is the only age appropriate child we currently have for this Activity Garden, we like to keep it closed like a house. It's cute seeing her crawl in and out the door to then shut it behind her, or go in and out the slide with a big smile on her face.

There's many sections to this toy that your child can play with. From the piano on the door, mailbox with shapes, and the windows with ball holes, they're bound to be entertained time and time again. Something else I really liked was the removable section you see above. Since its able to pop in and out, its great for a younger child who possibly can't sit up properly yet, or even something to take with you while on the go.

One funny thing I've noticed night after night is that our cats enjoy this toy as well. Once they're inside, its like they think they're hidden away. I mainly think this is because our German Shepherd likes to chase them, but she's never noticed them in here so they're able to be around us in the living room, but still hidden from unwanted visitors.

Overall, I like this toy. I feel the price is a little high, but that's to be expected I guess. Since this toy has such a big age range, Macyn is able to use it now, and then next Summer when Mya is old enough, she can enjoy it as well and it'll always have a use. Our older girls like to play with it as well, but they're not allowed inside.

You can purchase this 2-1 Activity Garden from the Little Tikes website for $90.

I love buying Little Tikes toys for children. They are well made and the kids like playing with them. This is no exception and it looks like one I would definitely buy in the future.
