Crafty Friday: Week 6 (Pencil Holders)

I had been looking for a way to reuse the energy drink cans when I came up with a great idea. I should just make a pencil holder with one! I needed somewhere to put my pencils and it would save me money to just reuse the can!

Materials:

  • Energy Drink can
  • Ribbon OR duct tape
  • Sharp knife
  • Hot glue gun or E6000 glue
  • Beads or marbles

Instructions:
Very carefully, use the knife to cut off the top of the can.
If you use ribbon, glue it around the top of the can.
If you use duct tape. tape it around the top.

Then glue the inside of the top of the can and fold the ribbon down inside.
I added a small bow to the side.

Then fill the bottom of the can with beads or marbles to help keep the can sturdy.

That's it! Easy to make, cute, and functional.

Here are a few other creative pencil holders I found online that others have made.

Zip-tie floppy disks together, build one with legos, and mod podge fabric onto food cans.
