Crafty Friday: Week 7 (Time Out Jars)

Time-Out Jars are a great way to help a child to calm down and think about the reason they are in trouble. It soothes their minds and makes them feel at peace.

 Materials:
  • Water bottle
  • Glitter Glue
  • Extra Glitter
  • Very hot water
  • Super glue

Instructions:
Add very water to the bottle and add glitter glue, shake up to mix. The hotter the water, the better it will turn out. The more glue you add, the longer it will take the glitter to settle. After the glitter glue and water is mixed, you can add other types of glitter. After you're done adding glitter, make sure to super glue the cap onto the bottle.

Other tutorials use glass jars which I have also made, but the problem with that is I don't trust my angry 4 year old in time out with a glass jar.
It's very comforting to use the time-out relax jar. Chloe even liked to watch the glitter settle when she wasn't in time out.

Here are a few other creative Time-out Relax Jars I've found online that others have made.
