Holiday Gift Guide: Knocked Up Nails Review

Thank you Knocked Up Nails for the polishes to help with this review

As we approach the upcoming Holiday season, Mama's Baby Cupcakes has teamed up with several companies we think would be a great fit to purchase/wear/give to others in the upcoming months. Thanks to each and every sponsor showcased in our Holiday Gift Guide, and if you see the cute button above then you know its Holiday approved!

Our 5-free pregnancy-safe nail polish formula does not contain toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate or camphor. Through our cheeky polish names we show a little extra lovin’ to the preggos, but Knocked Up Nails is also safe for allergy sufferers, cancer patients & children. Our hip, modern hues are long-lasting and chip resistant. All of our polishes are cruelty free and made in the USA.

Being in my third trimester, this nail polish cracked me up. I just adore the name of the company and knew that I wanted to work with them! Since I'm not due until December, that left a lot of time for get togethers such as birthdays and Thanksgiving to showcase my bump and I'll want to look fabulous doing just that! I chose the two colors above because my favorite color is pink, and being due in December, red screams Christmas so I knew it was a must!

Pink has always been my favorite shade of polish. It goes with pretty much any outfit, looks feminine, and shows I have a girly side even if my hair's a mess, I have no make-up on, and I'm in a hurry. While I was searching the Knocked Up Nails website, I found several shades of pink, but this one really jumped out at me. I love how light and pretty it looks, almost like cotton candy, and knew I HAD to have "Preggers In Pink" shade.

While this shade is a bit lighter than I thought, I really love it. I used two coats on Madison's toes and it dried quickly and cleanly. While she wears tennis shoes five days a week due to school policy, its stayed on very well. I do like that its not my typical shade of pink (hot pink) because its my subtle and gentle on the eyes. Its feminine and yet gives the right look when trying to still make a statement.

I focused on the name of this red more than realizing it has bits of glitter in it, so at first I was unsure of the shade. The name of this polish is "Santa Baby" and I strongly wanted it in honor of our sweet baby girl Mya who is due to arrive this December. The glitter in the polish is subtle, and can almost remind you of snow flakes since it appears to be silvery/white color.

McKenzie is 4yrs old and enjoys the girly side of polish, but doesn't like to sit and wait for her nails to dry so they don't smudge. I also used two coats of polish on her toes, and after a few minutes she was ready to go and play with no risk of smudging because they were dry. As the same with Madison, this polish has stayed on well like hoped, and it looks great with any outfit because its a universal color of red. The glitter inside gives it an extra boost of flair, but yet spreads evenly unlike so many other glitter polishes.

I saw a similar image online above while searching for maternity picture ideas, and knew that a red shirt with this red polish would look so cute together! I didn't go super crazy with a big Christmas theme for my maternity pictures, but I really love this picture and the red looks great in this photo and on Macyn's cute toddler feet.
