Welcome to week 36 of Talkin' Tattoos Tuesday! I did an intro post where I explained my goal in posting these every week and how you can submit your photo to be featured. Check out the post if you need to refresh your memory. Since I've went through all my tattoos, now I'll be sharing photos I've found online, and the occasional viewer submission when they come in.
Interesting tattoo huh?! This is yet another image found via "The Tattoo Page" on Facebook.
When I saw this image pop up in my newsfeed, I was blown away at the detail of the animal. From the details in the tongue, to the wrinkles in the nose, there was so much thought put in to this piece.
Even though you can't see much of a nose besides the black end, there's definition there and you can get the illusion of a snout without it looking odd and missing something.
I like the eyes as well because the pops of white color really make you fee like the eyes are staring right at you, through to your gut. I couldn't imagine walking past this person at a swimming pool or something and seeing this tattoo on the chest because it looks so realistic like it's going to attack at any given moment.
While the teeth around the animal look great, I don't like the two pieces together. I personally would've rather seen ripped skin with the great detail of flesh vs all the teeth because its just odd to me. With all the teeth, this tattoo confuses me a bit, but if you look past them and see the gorgeous animal inside, its an amazing piece of art that someone took a lot of time on to perfect it.
