JP Lizzy's Watermelon Satchel Diaper Bag Review

Thanks JP Lizzy for the review item to help with this post

Born from a new mom’s need for practicality blended with a passion for style, JP Lizzy products enable women to choose the look they love with a bag that meets the demands of their busy lives.

When I saw this Watermelon Satchel Diaper Bag on the JP Lizzy website, I fell in love!! It has my two favorite things, hot pink and animal print! I felt it was perfect timing because we'd found out about baby #4 and we also have Macyn who just turned 1 in February.

While we don't go a whole bunch of places during the week, when my husband is off on the weekends, we can be gone from the house for hours and hours. Spending time together as a family can be great, but with a small child this means preparing for multiple situations and possibilities that could arise while you're out for the day.

Happy 4th Birthday McKenzie

I can't believe that McKenzie is 4 today!
I can still see her as my little bitty baby with acid reflux and sensory issues.

While our journey hasn't been the easiest, I wouldn't change it for the world. I discovered last month she has Sensory Processing Disorder and we finally have a reason for the way she reacts to certain things.

She'll be in Pre-K starting this August which will be 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours a day. This means I'll have just one child at home, and I don't know what I'll do with myself!

While today is her actual day of birth, we had her party this past weekend on May 25. She's asking for a Spongebob theme since January so that's what she got! Thanks to The Itty Bitty Boutique she also had a great shirt to match!

michelle's pregnancy journal: week 12

Doctor Appointments:
June 12: Next appt (14 weeks)
July 25: GENDER SCAN!!! (20 weeks 1 day)

Baby Names:
We've pretty much had a boy name since our oldest but can't agree on a girl name yet. I thought we were pretty close with him agreeing to my choice of girl name but no final word just yet.

Food cravings:
Subway. It always sounds so good and when I do eat it, I savor it LOL

Symptoms:
I'm still not having a huge amount of symptoms. I do get tired between 1-2pm and I've had occasional heartburn. My biggest symptom would be that I've felt the baby move. I first felt the baby at exactly 11 weeks and its amazing that I'm able to feel the little life inside me at such a young gestational age.

Weight gain:
Starting weight from Dr. Appt is 225lbs. I don't own a scale at home so I won't know my weight gain except at appts.

Gender prediction tests:
Child's hairline-[Girl]
Intelligender (at 10w1d)-[Secret!]
Chinese Calendar From BabyCenter-[Boy]
High heartbeat (at 10w1d)-[Girl]

Sleep:
I sleep comfortably right now thankfully!

Green Toys: Build-A-Bouquet Review

Thanks Green Toys for the review item to help with this post
Green Toys Inc. makes an awesome line of classic children’s toys constructed from recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials. This helps reduce fossil fuel use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving the overall health and happiness of the planet.

I've had my eye on Green Toys for more than a year now. I love the idea behind their items being recycled and eco friendly. While I'm not the best at doing my part for the environment, we do recycle and the thought of toys being made from other things people discarded is an awesome concept.

I knew Build-A-Bouquet would be fun for our girls because they're able to use their imagination over and over again to make creations they find fun and beautiful to them.

I love the presentation of packaging when I opened the box. It was neatly contained and you could clearly see what was in the box. This set has a total of 44 pieces including 4 bases, 16 stem and leaf pieces, and 24 flower pieces. With the neat storage box they include, everything is easily contained when not in use and this is an extra feature that is almost a must with so many small pieces.

Kolcraft ® Preferred Position™ 2-in-1 Bassinet & Incline Sleeper Review

Thanks Kolcraft for the review item to help with this post
Kolcraft started in Chicago in 1946 when Leo Koltun made playpen pads out of cotton batting and oilcloth covers for post World War II babies.

This bassinet retails for $140 on the Kolcraft website, and is designed for children up to 3 months of age OR 15 pounds. Once your child can push themselves up on their hands and knees, you should no longer continue use. With this being a 2-in-1, your child can sleep at an incline with the incline sleeper attachment, and then once they're older, you simply remove it and they sleep flat. The canopy also features three adjustable angles, depending on your preferred visibility.

Also, you can convert this to a rocking bassinet (as seen below) and also includes the Light Vibes attachment to play soothing music for your baby as well as a soft glow light for an easy check on your sleeping bundle.

With a mobile hanging from the canopy, your baby will be entertained by the sweet bears hanging down as they drift off to sleep or are just waking up in the morning.

Crane: BELLY GLO NIGHT LIGHT Review

Thanks Crane for the review item to help with this post
Crane USA was founded in 2005 on the belief that design is an attitude and the home is a personal expression of an individual's lifestyle. We also realize that more than ever before people are looking to improve their health and their home environment. Crane is a company that recognizes these health concerns and people’s individual lifestyles.
I first worked with Crane USA in the Fall of 2011 on a review for their Adorable Humidifiers line. The humidifier is still a big hit here so I was excited when I received an email asking if I'd like to review one of their new Belly Glo Night Light products.

iBasal Digital Thermometer Review from FairHaven Health

Thanks Fairhaven Health for the review item to help with this post

Our mission at Fairhaven Health is to develop products designed to safely and naturally promote fertility, pregnancy wellness, and breastfeeding success. And for years now, we've been achieving that important goal. From preconception through pregnancy and nursing, Fairhaven Health is there -every step of the way - to provide clinically-proven products to help you along your journey to parenthood. As a trusted leader in the field of reproductive health, our products are cooperatively developed and formulated by a diverse panel of medical experts - including doctors, ObGyns, nutritionists, and naturopaths.

Now that I'm 10 weeks pregnant (May 15), I want to share with you a great product from Fairhaven Health called iBasal Digital Thermometer

When this blog was pitched to review the iBasal Digital Thermometer, I immediately thought "Well I don't need this!" I showed the link to a Facebook friend because I thought it was really cool and she pointed out I could use it for Natural Family Planning.

Besides one period at 6 weeks postpartum with Macyn, I didn't see one again until she self weaned from breastfeeding. January 2013 meant the need to be careful and watch what my husband and I did since he no longer wanted more children. The iBasal Thermometer was a great solution for us because I didn't want to effect my body with birth control, and I could let my body work naturally, doing what its supposed to do, all while watching my base temperature and learning how to detect and avoid ovulation.

When you take your temperature you have to do it at or around the same time every day. This ensures an accurate reading. You also want to take your temperature before getting out of bed. When the first thing you do in the morning is temp, you're getting a TRUE reading of your body's base temperature after sleeping all night.

While I was waiting for the thermometer to come in the mail, I told my husband about it and explained what the point of it was. With him not wanting more children, I figured he'd love the idea until we could get a more... permanent solution to prevent future babies. TO MY SHOCK, as I was telling him all about it, he threw his head back on the couch, looked up at the ceiling, and then said.... I'm ok with another baby. WHOH! Totally caught me off guard! We decided then and there we'd try immediately to get pregnant vs waiting until the Fall like I had suggested.
