Doctor Appointments:
September 18 (28 weeks)

Based off my LMP I have a due date of Dec 8. Ultrasound measured for a due date of Dec 7. I was tracking ovulation with temping and that gives me a due date of Dec 11. My Dr is choosing to go with Dec 7 and I there fore will be moving these posts to Saturdays and going with my Dr's choice.

Baby Names:
We all know now its a girl so HER name is Mya Sue

Food cravings:
I think a lot of my food cravings are gone or at least calmed down. That's always a great thing since I'm over weight naturally, so no cravings is best for me. I did post on Facebook a picture of Macaroni and Cheese with applesauce on top and I grossed a lot of people out but it happens to be something I also ate as a child, I just happened to really want it

Symptoms:
Mya thumps around in there quite often. I was informed I have an anterior placenta so I don't feel her quite as much as I'd prefer, but she's more active as time goes on and its so fun when she's in the mood bounce around and make herself known. She really doesn't like a full bladder so she reminds me when I need to empty it!

Weight gain:
10 week weight: 225lb
13 week weight: 228lb
16 week weight: 230lb
20 week weight: 232lb
24 week weight: 237lb

Gender prediction tests:
Child's hairline-[Girl]
Intelligender (at 10w1d)-[Girl]
Chinese Calendar From BabyCenter-[Boy] WRONG!
(Some I did said girl, just depends on the site)
High heartbeat (at 10w1d)-[Girl]
Heart Beat is now in mid 140s compared to 170s at 10w

Sleep:
Once I'm asleep, I feel like I sleep well. I do wake up for potty breaks, but always fall right back asleep luckily

Celebrating 5 Years of Marriage

Chris and I met in 2004 when I was 15yrs old and he was 18 yrs old. While we met in a very unconventional way, I'm so glad that we've been able to get through the (almost) 10yrs of ups and downs and celebrate 5yrs of marriage today. As a young couple, we've been through rough times in our relationship but I can honestly say we've pulled through them all stronger and better than before.

Showcasing Halloween with The Pecking Order

Thank you The Pecking Order for the maternity shirt to help with this review
Zoey’s Attic officially launched in November 2006 by creator and owner Erin Delanty.  The inspiration for the website came shortly after the birth of their first child. Once they decided to grow their family it was a no brainer to have the store where families could come and get personalized items for children of any age!

I first heard about The Pecking Order shortly before giving birth to our third daughter in February 2012. We got sibling shirts and they're very special to my heart. Ever since then we've used Erin's help in celebrating holidays and birthdays, as well as other events like my co-blogger Lakeon announcing her pregnancy to her family, and new sibling sets for the girls and baby #4 when she arrives in December. With Halloween right around the corner, why not use The Pecking Order to help us celebrate in style?!

I was very excited about their Halloween themed tote bags. As our kids get older, I know they'll want to go further when Trick-Or-Treating, and the little plastic pumpkins from Wal-Mart can only hold so much!! Along with the purchase of three Halloween Totes, I thought it would be cute to celebrate this last pregnancy with a special shirt while I pass out candy to trick-or-treaters, so Erin and I worked it out to ship the maternity shirt as a review at the same time I made my purchase of the totes and another item.

I couldn't help but smile when I pulled the totes out of the package. They're so cute and funny and well.... PERFECT! I knew as soon as I saw each design on the website that I wouldn't have a problem fitting each one of the girls' personalities to a tote bag.

BuyCostumes.com Review and #HauntedHalloween Grand Prize Sponsor Spotlight

Founded in 1999, BuyCostumes.com has grown to become the #1 online Halloween costume and accessory retailer this side of Transylvania. Actually, we're the #1 online costume retailer anywhere, since we sell costumes for kids and adults (dogs, too), for year-round fun, not just Halloween. We also sell party supplies and coordinated decorations for every type of party imaginable. If you can imagine it, we probably have partyware for it. So, if you thought we were just about costumes, think again. We just might surprise you.

When looking around the buycostumes.com website, I wasn't sure what I was looking for but knew I wanted to get Macyn another costume like I did last year. We reviewed their beautiful Baby Bloom costume last year and Macyn looked so adorable in it! While it was a little too big for our petite baby girl, I knew this Halloween we'd have a better chance at her fitting in to the age appropriate costume.

When I saw the Little Kitty infant/toddler costume you see above, it immediately caught my eye. I saved the page and continued to look around, but ultimately came back to the kitty because I knew it was perfect for Macyn! She is obsessed with our two cats and always yells "kitty" at them and runs to bet them so this costume is a great fit for her personality.

Get Fit Friday Week 9

Eventually there comes a time when you stop losing weight. You're still eating right and still exercising but the weight isn't coming off anymore, this is called a plateau. This is when your body is use to your routine and you'll need to change things up if you want to continue losing weight.

Plateaus are frustrating. They happen to almost everyone who is on a weight-loss journey. When I was on my journey I hit one ever couple of months. I have even been stuck on a plateau for over 60 days before! I can’t explain how frustrating that was. I felt like my hard work was for nothing.

There are a few things you can do to help get over this plateau.
1. You could have a "cheat meal" to increase your lepton levels, shocking your metabolism, causing it to speed up.

2. Continue to eat healthy, but take a couple days off working out to allow your body to relax and your muscles to rebuild.

3. Calorie cycle. Don’t eat the same amount of calories everyday. Go up and down, but never under your recommended intake. If you go under, you will put your body in a starvation mode. That will seriously damage your body.

4. You can do what I did which was eat all complex carbs for breakfast and lunch then I only ate mostly protein after that.

I also watched my "fats" intake by trying to eat little to no foods with fats. I then added more exercise to my daily routine and was able to get over that plateau. You may want to make sure you're drinking a lot of water and eating less salt.

Here's a list of the complex carbs and protein filled foods I eat:

Plateaus are hard to beat but not impossible to beat. I've hit very many on my journey and I know it can be frustrating, but keep your eye on what you want most, being healthy and happy with yourself. If I can get over these little speed bumps in the road to a healthy body, you can too!

Project Pomona: Comparing Size 1 & Size 2 Pants

I was sent a pair of pants for a past review and sent another pair for comparison only. They were returned after this review
Project Pomona
Project Pomona is a company that designs shorts and pants specially designed for cloth diaper bums and gives you ease of use when your child wears cloth diapers. Meghan is the owner and designer of Project Pomona which started in Dec 2011 in her own home due to clothes not properly fitting her first born when she wore cloth. Sometimes even sizing up in pants can still be uncomfortable for babies to sit and crawl around in, so she started making her own pants for a great and comfortable fit for her daughter.

I recently did a review on the Pomona jeans and asked for a size 2 since Brantley is bigger and taller than most other babies. After trying on the jeans, writing my review, and thinking they fit great when set to the smallest size, Meghan at Project Pomona asked me to compare sizes 1 and 2 of her Pomona Cloth Diaper Pants on him.

Here is a little about Brantley's age and size:
4.5 months old.
16 pounds.
17 inches around tummy.
12 inches from navel to ankle.

SIZE 1

These Teal Deer Jeans are a size 1. These are made for 3-9 months; 12-20 pounds; and 14-20" waist I snapped the waist into 2nd smallest size and rolled the bottom leg cuffs halfway up. The leg/thigh/butt area fits great! Below is how the cuffs look rolled all the way up, rolled halfway up, and rolled all the way down.

It Works! Wraps by Ariel Review

Thank you Ariel for the wrap to help with this review
Ariel is a single mother of four children who decided to sell It Works! after seeing friends and family members sell and talk about it. Curiosity got the best of her and she began selling as well!

The It Works body wrap is a all natural wrap that works to target the areas YOU choose in a 45-minute application. The body wrap is approximately 21″ long and 11″ wide at it’s widest point. Using the most advanced nutrition, every It Works ingredient can be considered food for the skin, allowing it to do what it wants and needs on its own. The natural and active ingredients in the applicator target the processes of skin rejuvenation to produce multifaceted results inside and out of the body. You'll even feel it working usually only minutes after you put it on.

When Ariel asked me if I wanted to review the It Works Wrap, I was excited. Just like every other person that hasn't tried this wrap, I was skeptical. How could I simply wrap something around my stomach and it actually work? I, being a mother of 2, have that "saggy mom pooch" on the bottom of my tummy and I would be thrilled if the It Works Wrap could shrink it for me. So I put it to the test! Ariel provided me with the wrap and the shipping was fast!

To use the wrap, Ariel instructed me to take a hot shower without using soaps or lotions. This allows the wrap lotion to absorb into the pores much easier. I was also told to drink half of my body weight in water in ounces. You can wear the wrap for as little as 45 minutes to as much as overnight.

J World Rolling Back Pack Review

Thank you JWorld for the Rolling Back Pack to help with this review
Jworld

JWORLD brand has been a leading international backpack and luggage brand offering an extensive variety of ground-breaking, and functional yet fashionable products since 1983. Currently available in over 25 countries, the JWORLD collections have become an international staple while earning praise and acceptance worldwide.

JWORLD collection is inspired by New York City's urban lifestyle and designed in aspiration of effectively meeting the needs and wants of our extensive consumer markets. By making a variety of diverse and targeted collections available, JWORLD brand has made it more convenient than ever in finding a product that will tailor specifically to an individual's needs.

My daughter Chloe has been on the hunt for a backpack she can use when starting school next year. After looking and looking, we finally found the J WORLD backpacks. When she realized J WORLD offered a rolling backpack, she wanted one. I as a mother, I worried about her having to carry a heavy backpack in school like I once had to do. I could remember coming home from school and having so much back pain and that is when I realized a rolling backpack would be GREAT for her to use!

Chloe picked the Sunrise J WORLD backpack in the color TARGET-BLUE. It was such a hard choice for her since there were so many colors and patterns to choose from. The color of the blue seems a little darker than the picture on the website but it is still a beautiful color and Chloe didn't notice a difference.

After taking a trip to our nearest store and testing all of the other rolling backpacks, I've found that the Sunrise J WORLD was much more durable. Other backpacks would become wobbly and flop over when packed with heavy books while the Sunrise backpack would stay up-right.

Another thing about the Sunrise backpack is that the handle has 3 different size settings to fit all size kids and adults. Since Chloe is so small, I set the handle at the medium setting and she can easily pull it around. I like how it has a button press to pull the handle up and down and I can feel when the handle locks into the small, medium or biggest setting.

The main compartment of the Sunrise backpack is big enough to hold everything you need and more. As shown in the pictures above, I was able to fit 4 pairs of clothes, 7 workbooks, a puzzle box, a package of wipes, a first aid kit, Chloe's purse and a size 40 x 55 blanket. The front pockets are spacious and full of organizational features. The padding on the straps and back panel make for comfortable carrying. The pocket in the back to hold the straps while rolling is very convenient and adds a nice touch to an already over-the-top backpack.

Get Fit Friday Week 8

So, we're at that point. I'm going to talk about that one thing every new dieter hates starting. Exercise. Yes, exercise. I was NOT a fan of exercising. In fact, even thinking about working out made me feel tired. Everyone has to start somewhere and if you're just starting, take it slow. Don't try running 5 miles on your first day. I started off by waking up around 5am, feeding the baby and getting him back to bed, then eating a light breakfast before walking around the neighborhood. I used the app on my android called Map My Fitness. It tells you how far you walked, how fast you went and how long it took you to walk. At first I would do 1-2 miles a day and then my endurance got higher and higher with each day I walked. I can now do 7-10 miles at a time!

After walking, I feel GREAT!! There's no better feeling in the world than feeling accomplished and feeling healthier. Plus, walking burns so many calories!

I will make small goals for myself each day before walking. For example, I walked 7 miles in 1 hour and 30 minutes so the next day I would aim for 7 miles in 1hour and 15 minutes, OR I would aim for 8 miles. Each day I wanted to do better than yesterday. Don't compete with other people, compete with yourself.

With that being said, here are a few pre and post workout meals. Your body needs energy before your walk and needs food for repair after your walk.
