Talkin' Tattoos Tuesday: Week 45

Welcome to week 45 of Talkin' Tattoos Tuesday! I did an intro post where I explained my goal in posting these every week and how you can submit your photo to be featured. Check out the post if you need to refresh your memory. Since I've went through all my tattoos, now I'll be sharing photos I've found online, and the occasional viewer submission when they come in.

Michele has let me feature one of her tattoos before, back on Week 14. After seeing my posts about Sugar Skulls before the holidays, she sent me an email and shared her newest work of art! It's indeed a sugar skull and she enlightened me on a meaning as to why some people get them as tattoos.

"At the time, I was wanting an anchor tattoo but not finding any inspiration. I was however seeing a lot of sugar skulls.  While I am not sure if it is my personality either (as you stated you weren't sure if its your's), I really thought they were beautiful.  I read a bit on them and often they are utilized to remember a loved one who has passed.  Well, I decided to get one.  I am not sure if it is finished yet though. I might add some decorative work above it so it does not appear to be just floating there."
