Dr Brown's Baby Review

Thank you Dr Brown's Baby for the items to help with this review
At Dr. Brown’s, our focus has always been to create innovative feeding products to promote good health and optimal nutrition for baby. Designed by a doctor in 1996 and patented in 1997, Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow® is the only baby bottle to feature an internal vent system that helps preserve vitamins C, A, & E by minimizing oxidation of breastmilk and formula, provides positive-pressure vacuum-free feeding similar to breastfeeding, and helps reduce colic, spit-up, burping and gas by eliminating negative pressure and air bubbles.

Having four children ages 6yrs and under, I'm very familiar with baby products. As first time parents back in 2007, my husband and I stood in the baby aisle at Wal-Mart and looked at the different brands of bottles trying to figure out which one might be the best for our baby. After a while my husband saw Dr Brown's Baby and became intrigued with their style of bottle and the patented two-piece internal vent system. From then on, we've been hooked with their bottles, so I was excited to try out the items you see above and get to know the other items that this company has to offer.

Above you'll see I received a six pack of pink and purple 8oz bottles, six pacifiers, two teethers, one pack of Nose and Face wipes, one pack of Pacifier and Bottle wipes, and one pack of Tooth and Gum wipes. As soon as I got this package in the mail, I immediately started using the different items, so below is my thoughts and opinions on each item above!

First let's talk about the bottles. Like I said above, we've used these same bottles with our kids since 2007 and what first caught our eye is the two-piece internal vent system inside the bottle. As baby feeds, air is channeled from the nipple collar through the vent system, bypassing the breastmilk or formula, to the back of the bottle. Air never mixes with the breastmilk or formula which minimizes oxidation and helps preserve essential nutrients like vitamins C, A and E. We especially liked this because air bubbles is a big cause of things like gas, upset stomach, and even colic. The bottles also come with a brush so you can clean the tube inside, and I also use it to clean in and around the top piece it attaches to.

Next is their pacifiers. Our daughter has only used Soothie brand, but can never hold on to them completely. When rocking her to sleep I have to position her close to my body so the pacifier hits my arm and doesn't fall completely out of her mouth. I was anxious to see how she would do with the Dr Brown's brand, and after some time convincing her it wasn't a bottle, she loved them. Since the nipple was created by a Pediatric Dentist, it has a great suction free air channel in the middle of the nipple to help with pressure inside the mouth. Over time this pressure can create issues in the future such as an over bite, so I love that I can have piece of mind about Mya's developing mouth. The air channel actually opens up as the baby sucks and this creates less pressure for their mouths. My favorite part of this pacifier is the cover it comes with. I don't shop pacifiers much, but I haven't seen this before. I like that I can put in her seat or my purse when we're on the go, and it stays clean because the cover secures on tight to the pacifier and then quickly pops off when you need it to. Their pacifiers also have age ranges which is nice as your child grows and changes.

One can never have too many wipes! I use baby wipes for so many things, but they can be hard on such sensitive skin like the face. At the same time this package arrived, a terrible head cold had hit our whole family. Our 2yr old was taking it pretty hard and these wipes came to the rescue! While I'll spare you photos of her face, I didn't know so much yucky stuff could come from a toddler's nose. She had been getting tired of the constant wiping my husband and I were doing, but she quickly learned the wipes were to help her. After using them all day, she woke up the next morning with less drainage. These wipes are made to dissolve mucus and soothe the child's face and I believe they do just that! She actually enjoyed getting cleaned up because it didn't' take a long time with these wipes and since they're free of chemicals like alcohol, they didnt burn her irritated nose every time I had to save her face from a mess. After a couple days, Macyn would even bring me the wipes to use on her even though she didn't need them because she enjoyed them so much.

I always carry the Bottle and Pacifier wipes in my purse because we've all been out at the store or a resturant and accidentally dropped a pacifier. Rather than running to the bathroom to rinse it off and hope nothing too gross got on said item, you can just pull the wipes out, clean the pacifier or bottle off, and never have to leave your seat. They're fragrance free and contain no alcohol, so it won't leave an odd taste for your child or chemicals for them to ingest. Along with pacifiers, this is a great option to have for teethers and cups as well for the silly toddlers that make a game of pick up when you're out enjoying your day.

Last but not least is the Tooth and Gum wipes. These wipes are designed to help keep baby's mouth healthy, start a good oral routine before teeth come in and need brushed, and it also creates a healthy environment for the teeth as they come in. These wipes are fluoride free and also contain no chemicals like alcohol so its safe for babies. While Mya is just shy of three months old, I will be using these wipes in the coming months as she prepares for the teething process, and hopefully to help soothe her pain as they come through.

Babies love putting things in their mouths. Once they hit 3-4 months old, they're try to put just about anything they can in their mouth to taste, feel, and try to eat it. The two above teethers are my favorites from the Dr Brown's collection, and start at a recommended three months of age. Also created by a Pediatric Dentist, their teethers are made to not only help baby with teething and soothing their gums from pain, but also jaw development. While each teether has different benefits, they're all freezer safe if you want to make them cold, and they can help with specific teeth such as all over or just the front. The ridges help with texture and to ease sore gums, while firm edges can help give relief to teeth coming in.

All items are BPA free and are meant to give your baby the best experience possible. Our kids grow so fast, we want to enjoy them and have good safe products for them to use. I believe Dr Brown's Baby is a company you should try because they do a great job at making the best items they can for our children, and ultimately that means happy babies and happy parents.

You can connect with Dr Brown's Baby via Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. You can also learn more about their products on their website and even use the locate store option to see who carries them near you. Besides what you've seen in this review, they also carry Breastfeeding accessories, sippy cups, and silverware!

I would love to win this set! Your bottles are the only bottles that work for my little cleft soft palate daughter. She is unable to breastfeed. I exclusively pump so she can still get my good milk and these bottles are the only ones that work for her!

My most favorite bottles! I was introduced to them with my niece 10 years ago & my sisters continued to use them for 4 more children before I had my daughter & it was one thing I didn't have to research for her because I knew what the best option for me was.

I'm most excited about the 3 types of wipes! The tooth and gum wipes would be FAB since my daughter is teething, the paci wipes would be a life saver since those things dop all over the place, and the face wipes would be amazing so they don't irritate her sensitive skin! I use regular wipes to wipe her face, so those would be AMAZING to have! I'm also equally as excited about the teethers. As I mentioned before, she is currently teething and EVERYTHING goes into her mouth, and I am constantly taking everything OUT of her mouth. These would be a life saver as well for my little princess!! Thanks so much for the review and for the chance to win!
