Personal-Planner Review

Thank you to Personal-Planner for the item to help with this review
A few years ago, in 2006, my wife Paula needed a new planner to keep track of her studies, but after many a trip to the shops she came home whining... "There's only boring planners out there!"In that moment an idea was born, the idea that was to become the Personalized Planner. Having worked in the graphic design industry for 10 years and amused myself developing my own inventions in my spare time, the challenge was too great to resist.

As a mother to four children, I'm always using the calendar in my phone for appointments. From doctors to school events, it seems like there's always something going on. Unless I immediately put the occasion in my phone, I'd find myself forgetting about it until last minute and I started to get fed up with it all. After I found Personal-Planner I knew that their product would help me tremendously.

I decided to choose a Medium sized planner which is 16x14cm. I wanted something to easily fit in my purse without taking up a lot of room, and something that I could easily carry around if needed to be able to quickly write in. Since this will be used for appointments and special occasions, I didn't need the biggest size available that has more room to write in.

When personalizing your planner you get to choose the front cover, back cover, and the look of the inside of your planner. I chose to put my favorite necklace on the front because it has my children's names on it as well as the fact that its a prized possession of mine. I put the most up to date photo of our family on the back, and then added fun coloring pages on the inside in case I'm every somewhere that the kids start to get bored. I need to add a couple crayons to my purse, but it'll come in handy when we're at the Dr longer than intended or a school function where our 2yr old finds herself bored and wanting to be up walking around when sitting is the only option.

You can choose different banners for the top and I chose a purple zig zag pattern because it reminds me of the very "in" print of chevron. You can also add different boxes at the bottom of each week and I did a simple "Things to do this week" when I need to run special errands that don't need to be written in for a certain time.

I really like the heavy duty look of this planner, as well as the thick binder and plastic covers over the front and back. It'll help with the wear and tear from it being in my purse all the time and lugged around with me and the kids while we're out and about.

Personal-Planner offers a wide variety of options to truly make the planner your own and one of a kind. They offer three different sizes to choose from and then the largest can be horizontal or vertical depending on your preference. You can put your name and dates on the front, and choose several different options for the extra pages in the back where mine are coloring pages.

The planners rang in price from $24.95-$34.94 and it includes shipping. Since everything is customized, they estimate a 3 week shipment after your purchase. I received mine about about 2 weeks and you get an email update when it gets shipped so you know its on the way.

Overall, I really like my planner and will be purchasing in the future. This would make a great gift for Mother's Day, Birthday Gift, or a "just because I love you."

I like that it has plastic covers on the front and back, since it would be safer around my morning coffee.

I am really into personalized planners, I have to see and use it every day so it must be sturdy and able to handle my abuse as well as be something I like and want to use !!I would probably upload a picture of my kids or a scenery shot.

I love how I can design one to my exact specifications. There is always something I have to compromise on when I buy it from the store.
