I decided to gauge my ear lobes about 1 1/2yrs ago. I hadn't worn earrings in years because I'm so sensitive to what I can use, and I thought gauging would be a fun way to express myself, my personality, and my ears! Once you're done stretching to your preferred size, next comes the fun collection of plugs you acquire. Just like if I had normal earrings, its something you want to change out with different outfits, different moods, and even special occasions if you see fitting.

I chose the two pieces to review that you see above for very different reasons.

The hot pink Double Flare Flexible Ear Plug is something fun and cute. I've wanted an open plug for a while, but couldn't find the exact one until this review. I like how flexible it truly is, because it makes getting in the ear so much easier for me. Since its double flare on both ends, the flex makes it hurt less getting the one end through the lobe. I had a tough time getting to my size 0 and the first pair of double flare tunnels I put in, almost didn't come back out, so having something I can change shape on is a must at this point! This is a flexible double flare tunnel ear plug made from surgical implant grade silicone available in your choice of pink, green, yellow, red, orange, or blue. The size is available in your choice of 0 gauge, 00 gauge, ½ inch, 9/16inch, 7/8inch, 1inch, 2 gauge, 4 gauge, or 6 gauge. This is easy to wear, comfortable, and light weight with ultra violet reactivity. Price for one plug is $9.99 and price for two plugs is $14.99.

Even though I didn't wear many earrings when I was younger, a girl still loves to feel pretty! When I saw the Surgical Steel plugs in Pink Cubic Zirconia, I thought they would make a great special occasion set for me. Even though I do love having plugs, I also feel like as my girls grow, I need to look nice. While most of the time I'm in yoga pants and my hair in a messy bun, when it comes to school functions I like to dress up and look nice. Along with looking nice with an outfit and makeup, I think my ears play a part in this as well. These are made from 316L surgical steel with a rubber "O" ring to hold it in place. My favorite type of plug is the one flare with O ring like this style and its so easy to pop in and out and it stays in place well. The only downfall for me is sleeping in this set because the little prongs that hold the stone in place tend to poke me. My hair also gets caught in these prongs, but nothing I can really do about that so I got used to it quickly. The size is available in your choice of 0 gauge, 000 gauge, 11mm-7/16 of an inch, or 14mm-9/16 of an inch. The entire piece is nickel free. Price for one plug is $14.99 and price for two plugs is $22.99

As you can see above, there's so many items to choose from on their website. I like that they have a Tattoo Care Kit, and the nail piercings are pretty cool too. Since I have acrylics, they would be pretty cute, except I'm not sure if they would go through well with the drill. There's also a $1.99 section where you can get some pieces at a very good discount, so that's a must to look at! Most pieces are sold individually but you get a discount if you buy two so not as bad. It would be nice to see them at a little cheaper discount since most pieces, like earrings, you have to purchase two for a set.
