Living Proof Hair Care Review Pt.1 #MC #Sponsored

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Living Proof. I received product samples to facilitate my review and to thank me for my participation.”

As a mother of four children, my hair doesn't do much. I do color my hair, but it's often in a pony tail, and before I recently cut off about 8", it was always in a side braid. After a bad hair color, I cut a lot of the hair off the get rid of the dye, and I'm now left with shorter than I'd like frizzy, wavy hair. In hopes of growing my hair back out, I've taken the Living Proof challenge to help restore my hair, it's beauty, and help it recover from all it's been put through.

My hair has always been thick with a slight wave, and it's something I've dealt with since I was little. On top of this, I have dandruff problems like most of my family, and my hair gets oily easily, so I've always wanted to find the perfect product to help my hair. I've always just washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner and then let it air dry, but recently I switched to help rid of dandruff. While this did help, I hated the thought of being forced to use a product for only part of my problem.

I'm now on a challenge to use Living Proof Hair Care for two months in efforts to better my hair, and I'd love if you joined me on this quest! You can visit the site here and enter to win products of your very own, and also shop around at what they offer and purchase your own to start your hair care journey.

Key Factors Include:
  • The new PhD (Perfect hair Day) line which includes a shampoo, conditioner, and 5-in-1 Styling Treatment all treat and styles your hair to deliver smoothness, volume, conditioning, strength, and polish all in one set.
  • The PhD shampoo and conditioner are a routine changing duo that keeps hair cleaner, longer reducing the need to wash your hair as often. These are sulfate-free, oil-free and silicone-free.
  • After using the PhD shampoo and conditioner, apply 5-in-1 Styling Treatment to damp hair and blow dry or air dry to create smoothness, volume, strength, conditioning, and polish as well as heat protection, UV protection, and static control. This is oil-free and silicone-free.
  • For the most volume, blow dry your hair with a round brush to enhance volume and body or blow dry with a flat brush to create a smooth, polished blowout.

I've only had these products for a little over a week so far, and I've used the shampoo and conditioner a couple times. I've been playing around with it to see if there's a difference in the amount of time I can go in-between washes, or if I see any big difference right from the beginning.

I purposely didn't wash my hair for a couple days before using these products for the first time to see if there's a difference from the first use, and to see how much of a change there could be, if any.

After using the shampoo and conditioner twice, this is my hair above. You can see where I'm letting my hair dye grow out, but over all you can see the look of my hair. So far I've found that my hair is a lot softer then it seemed before, but my roots seem to be oily a lot sooner. This photo is after washing my hair the day before, and I can feel the oil on my roots. I'm hoping after more washes and my hair getting used to this product, that will change and I'll end up washing my hair less.

I'm looking forward to using the rest of the products on my hair, and with a baby shower coming up, I want to try some fun easy hairstyles as outlined by Jennifer Anniston's hair stylist in the video below. Fun beach waves that can be done the night before is a great alternative for me, with little time to spend fully getting ready as a busy mother of four.

I'm excited to where the next month takes me on my journey with Living Proof Hair Care, and I hope you'll follow along with me! You can learn more about Living Proof via their website, or connect with them on social media through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and even Instagram.
