Getting Nailed! Week 16 *Jamberry Juniors*

Thanks to Lindsey Galvez for the Jamberry sheets!

Welcome to Week 16 of Getting Nailed! I did an intro post where I explained my goal in posting these every other week and how you can submit your photo to be featured. Check out the post if you need to refresh your memory. I'll be sharing photos of my own nails as I get them done every two weeks, photos of neat ideas I've found online, and the occasional viewer submission when they come in.

Made in the USA, our nail wraps offer peace of mind with no odors, no chemicals and no animal testing. The startling diversity of our 300+ designs keeps things fresh for stylish ladies of all ages and tastes. For those who love the confidence that comes from having manicured hands, Jamberry Nails offers a professional salon look without the high cost or hassle.

After Lindsey tried Jamberry, she was hooked, and upon my curiosity she sent one sheet of Juniors and one sheet of adult nail wraps. These week I'll be discussing the Jamberry Juniors, how long they lasted on our girls, and some more info about this great product! To go with Madison's 7th birthday theme, I chose the Unicorn Dreams & Hearts sheet for the cute Unicorns.

Application for the Jamberry wraps is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. The alcohol (wipes or with a cotton ball) is used to get any oils and such off the nail, the stick is used to push your cuticles back, the blow dryer or their special heater is used to heat the wraps before and after they're applied, and then scissors to trim and lastly the file to get nice and close to nail.

As I was filing away on Madison's nails, I was able to get a good shot above at the access that comes off from filing once you've cut down. This ensures that the wrap is only on your nail and you can get the best seal possible to ensure they last the average 10-14+ days recommended.

I will say that practice makes perfect! I started with our youngest daughter and worked my way up to our oldest and that's the order of issues I had.

Macyn is 2 1/2 years old, is the bottom photo with one wrap, and her's didn't stay on too long. She hated the blow dryer and I know this is why I couldn't get it to last longer.

McKenzie is 5 1/2 years old and her photo is in the middle. She wasn't a huge fan of the blow dryer either, and her wraps fell off at different times. One fell off after two days, and the other one made it to six days before coming off.

Madison is 7yrs old and had all ten of her nails done in honor of her birthday party. I paid more attention to her nails for our 10 day challenge because I spent the most time on her nails, and after practicing on her sisters, I was sure I'd gotten a better seal over all on her finger nails.

Above you can see Madison's nails and that they lasted 9 days. I did her nails the day before her birthday party, and then for the next 9 days she took showers, did dishes (her daily chore) and we even carved pumpking with Jamberry on! After her shower on day 9 she came to me and one wrap was half way off. Through out the day some others were coming loose or coming off, so I called it done and I'm really happy they lasted so long. Since the typical timeline is 10-14 days, I'm very impressed that I was able to apply them correctly and well enough for them to last so long.

Jamberry's nail wraps come on one sheet for $15. One sheet of nail wraps will give you up to 2 manis and 2 pedis! When you take in to consideration how much it costs to go to a salon, wait, and then take your turn, this makes so much more sense. For kids it's even better because my daughters can have fun patterns and prints that can easily be done at home instead of paying a salon to do it and charging me for the extra features.

One huge plus with Jamberry is that my kids don't have to sit and wait for their nails to dry. Someone always has an itch or moves while I'm painting causing me to get polish on the skin, and especially the sudden urge to use the potty. It does take some time to get used to, but it out ways the money I'm saving, the time I have to sit and wait at the salon, and being able to start and stop as needed.

You can purchase other things as well from Jamberry like their heaters, whole application kits, nail lacquer, and more. There's such a variety for kids, and you can even cut down the bigger wraps if you really want to share with your child.

Check out Jamberry today and check out under Lindsey Galvez. She's been so great to me, helping me with questions I have, and going above and beyond for her customers!

I love Jamberry too! My daughter has the same sheet! Mine last at least two weeks! Try putting them on before going to bed. I think they last longer since they set overnight. :)
