Isotoner Slippers and Gloves Review *Holiday Gift Guide*

Thanks to Isotoner for the items to help with this review

As we approach the upcoming Holiday season, Mama's Baby Cupcakes has teamed up with several companies we think would be a great fit to purchase/wear/give to others in the upcoming months. Thanks to each and every sponsor showcased in our Holiday Gift Guide, and if you see the cute button above then you know its Holiday approved!

isotoner's story begins in 1910 with the founding of the Aris Glove Company, a European maker of fine leather gloves and knit accessories. After making its way to the United States, Aris would create the glove that would become its namesake and an icon would be born.

In the early 1970s, Aris created a glove unlike any other made from a nylon/spandex fabric with leather trim. Recognizing the glove's unique 4-way stretch and massaging properties, Aris named the glove isotoner by combining the words "isometric" and "toning." The isotoner glove was a major success with a name so recognizable that Aris adopted it and became ARIS isotoner, Inc. Following the success of isotoner women's gloves, isotoner men's gloves and slippers quickly followed.

As cold weather approaches, so does the need to keep our hands and feet warm. I'm always wanting new slippers because of wear and tear, so when Isotoner contacted me for a review, I was thrilled. We received Hoodback Slippers, Clog Slippers, and SmarTouch Gloves to review.

I like the different options available for slipper styles as well as the variety of colors. Since Christmas is right around the corner, I chose to get a pair of slippers for myself and a pair for my oldest sister and best friend.

Just this week I had to get some things from Target, and after laying my kids down and saying goodbye to my husband, I was on my way to the store. Once I arrived, I realized I'd forgotten to change my shoes. I in fact was still wearing my Sonja slippers! At first I was embarrassed, but then after looking down at how well they looked and the hard indoor/outdoor sole, I walked in to the store in comfort to get my shopping done. You see, I've been wearing these slippers every day for a couple weeks, and I was so used to them being on that I didn't think twice about my shoes because in that moment I thought I had proper shoes on. Because of the dual sole on the bottom, I'm not ruining slippers like in the past, and I can check the mail or take out the trash without needing to change or risk tearing holes in the soft bottoms of my other slippers.

Because of the memory foam, they really mold to my foot and are very comfortable. I wear between a 9-10 depending on the brand of shoe, and I'd say these are true to size. The pair I got was a 9 and while a little tight at first, after broken in they formed to my feet and relaxed their tight grip.

While these Luka slippers are for my sister, I did try to squeeze my feet in them for a couple minutes to walk around the house. They're a little smaller than my size because she has smaller feet than I do, but they weren't too far off. I would say they're true to size just as the others, and with the same features like indoor/outdoor sole and the gel cushion in the heels, they're very comfortable and I think she'll enjoy them well. You can tell there's gel in the heel because it raises a little bit, but over time I see it as something you'd get used to and would forget was even there.

These Women's smarTouch Gloves had me intrigued because of the ability to use them with modern technology. I've never been too in to gloves because my love for the iPhone, but when I read that you could still use your devices because of these gloves, I knew I wanted to try them.

Pink is my favorite color, so I was excited about that, and they're nice and snug on the hand. The leather on the two index fingers and thumb holds the technology to use your phone with the gloves on, and it really does work!! I found though that the end of the fingers are pretty square which does make it hard to text or click small specifics of the phone, but I think that's something I can get used to over time. The fingers don't seem to go all the way down to where mine end so they feel a little small, but again, something I can get used to. Living here in Indiana, we can have some crazy up and down weather, so I think I'll be leaving these gloves in my van that sits in our garage so I'll always have them when I need them and be ready to go.
