Lalaloopsy Baking Oven Review *Holiday Gift Guide*

Big thanks to MGA Entertainment for this product to review

As we approach the upcoming Holiday season, Mama's Baby Cupcakes has teamed up with several companies we think would be a great fit to purchase/wear/give to others in the upcoming months. Thanks to each and every sponsor showcased in our Holiday Gift Guide, and if you see the cute button above then you know its Holiday approved!

Lalaloopsy were once rag dolls that magically came to life when their very last stitch was sewn. Each doll has its own charming personality inspired by the fabric used to make it. Lalaloopsy live in a whimsical world full of silly surprises. With love and a little bit of imagination, you’ll see why Lalaloopsy are sew magical... and sew cute!

When the opportunity came up to review the Lalaloopsy Baking Oven, I couldn't have been more excited. Our oldest daughter has wanted something like this for a while now, and since we have other Lalaloopsy items in our home, it was a perfect addition to our home of girls.

Our shipment arrived not too long before Madison's 7th birthday, so I wrapped it for her to open at her party and get a couple pictures of her reaction.

As you can see above, she was thrilled to open this gift, and smiled from ear to ear the whole time. Shortly after her party we had a sleep over with her best friend and decided it was the perfect time to test our Baking Oven and see what it was all about.

As you can see above, the box holds the baking oven, one tin pan, measuring spoons, cookie shape maker, different mixes to make your items, and then of course the spatula. Inside this box was a Strawberry Cake mix with frosting, and then a Sugar Cookie mix to make your first treats with.

I really like the look of this whole product. From the cute button nobs, to the fake stove top, I love all the pink and the thought they put in to creating this item.

The top of the stove does get very hot since just below is where the cooking happens. After letting it pre-heat, you can start making your items, which then take about 15 minutes to cook depending on what you're making.

I will say, with trying to make sure three kids all get equal turns of pouring, stirring, and measuring, it did slip my mind to take picture while we were actually making the items. Due to mis-measuring because I got a little confused by directions, our sugar cookies didn't turn out and our frosting didn't either. This is definitely my error and nothing to do with the oven, but my kids were pretty disappointed by my mistakes.

There's several varieties of refills available for this Baking Oven. I think with Christmas coming up, we'll put some refills under the tree for them to have fun with. Not only will it give us something to do during Christmas break on those cold days, but who doesn't love sweets?!

You can purchase the Lalaloopsy Baking Oven in several stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us, and Kmart. The oven runs between $40-$50 depending on if it's on sale, and then the refill kits are pretty high coming in around $8+ for ONE refill pack.
