Mya's Girls Party Kit Chevron 1st Birthday Party!

Birthday in a Box provided the kit for her theme.
The shirt I showcase from Zoey's Attic Personalized Gifts was a purchase I made and wanted to also share

I've known since Mya was only a couple months old that I wanted her 1st birthday party to have a chevron theme. I hadn't found "the one" until looking around on the Birthday In A Box website. When I found the Chevron Deluxe Kit for only $20, I was blown away. Not only was it a great price if the review didn't work out, but I loved the rainbow theme with a variety of colors, and it reminded me of Mya and her personality.

I did do some looking around in the Girls Party Ideas just in case I found something better, but since I normally go with my gut, Chevron was my final choice and the shipment was on its way!

This kit serves 18 guests and includes 18 Chevron Cake Plates, 18 Chevron 9oz Cups, 36 Chevron Luncheon Napkins, 24 Forks/Spoons/Knives, 1 Chevron Table Cover, and 2 Sets Streamers. I liked the quality of everything included except the table cloth. It reminds me of  the paper over the table at a doctor's office and it didn't lay well on the corners of my long kitchen table.

This kit comes in a Standard kit as well for just $14 that doesn't include so much silverware and streamers. I think this theme is very open and could be used for birthdays like we did, or baby showers, graduations, even family reunions if you wanted it to be bright and cheery.

On top of the Standard or Deluxe Kit, you can also purchase other accessories to go along with the different themes. They have things like invitations, personalized plates, thank you notes, and even lollipops. Check out the Party In a Box website for full details and other themes to choose from!

I've shared my love for Zoey's Attic Personalized Gifts for several years on this blog, and I knew I just had to get a shirt made for Mya to wear! Since there was no girl option available with a chevron pattern, I did a custom order and sent the link to her party theme so Erin could see it and use the same colors. I got a size 18 months because she's so chunky, and she could've fit in a 12 months well. I more just wanted to ensure she could wear it for the next year out and about and it still fit.

I really love Erin's work with her company and will be purchasing for future birthdays and events, with next being February and our third daughter's birthday :)

One last picture to show her cake. I wanted a #1 with cupcakes, and while it look a little mis-shaped, it wasn't terrible so I left it alone. I do wish they'd written at the bottom bigger instead of a little bit on the side, but I guess that's what you get when you go to your No.2 preferred cake place instead of No.1
