“Why I’m a Mom” campaign via Mommy’s Bliss. I received products in exchange for sharing this video.
I've seen this video floating around Social Media. I encourage you to watch!
I never expected I would become a mother seven days after turning nineteen. When I was younger, I didn't know what to expect my future to be like, but after meeting my husband at the age of fifteen, we started our family young with expanding three years later.
Fast forward to our youngest daughter turning one year old last week, and I'm amazed at how time flies by. From the first steps, to the first day of school, it's over in the blink of an eye. I've always wished we could have cameras in our eyes to record the perfect memories or snap shots of the perfectly cute things our kids do, because it goes by so quickly.
Being a mother/parent is tough! I'm not gonna lie about that. There are times I loose my cool, times I want to run to a corner and cry, and times that I feel like I could use a week long vacation from life and just get away from it all. But even with all those mixed emotions, when I hear one of my girls call me mommy, ask me to hold them when they're sick, hit a milestone like walking, or our newest adventure of a loose tooth, I know being a mother is why I'm here. Being their mother, is why I'm here. I'm here to guide them, love them, and make them in to amazing children and eventually adults.
Through the stress of the girls' fights, hitting, yelling, and tears, I wouldn't change my life for a million dollars, and the video above really hits home for me. I've been given a beautiful gift of four amazing children, and that is why I'm so proud to be their mom.
