Personal-Planner Review

Thank you to Personal-Planner for the item to help with this review
A few years ago, in 2006, my wife Paula needed a new planner to keep track of her studies, but after many a trip to the shops she came home whining... "There's only boring planners out there!"In that moment an idea was born, the idea that was to become the Personalized Planner. Having worked in the graphic design industry for 10 years and amused myself developing my own inventions in my spare time, the challenge was too great to resist.

As a mother to four children, I'm always using the calendar in my phone for appointments. From doctors to school events, it seems like there's always something going on. Unless I immediately put the occasion in my phone, I'd find myself forgetting about it until last minute and I started to get fed up with it all. After I found Personal-Planner I knew that their product would help me tremendously.

CakeBallz Review

Thank you Cakeballz for the items to help with this review

National Cake Ball Brands (Cakeballz) was born out of one simple desire: provide a tastier and fresher alternative to the current snack cakes you'll find on the shelves of your local grocery or convenience store. We also know that at this day and age, no one has time for baking, but everyone still loves a nice bit of cake from time-to-time.

I'm a big cake person. I love junk food in general, but cake is on a whole other level. When I found the Cakeballz company, I knew I wanted to try them and see if their product was just as good as the pictures shown on their site. With three different flavors to choose from, it gives a variety for everyone and just enough in size to quench that sweet tooth.

New Muslin HALO SleepSacks Review

Thanks to Halo for the SleepSack to help with this review

Our founder Bill Schmid and his wife lost their first born to SIDS. From this tragedy, HALO and its mission were born. For over 15 years we've been educating parents about safe sleep practices and a portion of every sale goes to First Candle/SIDS Alliance and The Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths.  Since 2005, the American Academy of Pediatrics has suggested the use of wearable blankets.  Today, HALO SleepSack wearable blankets are the #1 trusted choice of hospitals, and are used nationwide to help babies sleep safely from the start.

Halo is currently in over 1,000 hospitals nationwide because of their Halo Safer Way To Sleep Initiative, which provides hospitals with SleepSack Swaddles to give one to the parents for their newborns. Because of this great idea, hospitals can educate parents of the risks of blankets and why swaddling can be so beneficial to a child. They also have a video on their website for safe sleep tipsHalo Innovations also offers free Safe Sleep Practices kits to childbirth educators to help further the cause of SIDS prevention.

I've been lucky enough to use Halo's products from our local hospital with all four of our children, and over the years I've come to love them more and more. While we barely used it with our first child, I see so many benefits and am thankful that I was given the chance to use them again with our other girls. Some babies need to be swaddled in order to feel secure, and this was the case with our girls. I actually had to wean our third child off of swaddles and in to the sacks as she aged because they helped her so much, and I'm happy to use them again with Mya.

Pull-Ups® First Flush Update#3 #CelebrateFirstFlush #MC #Sponsored

I participated in a campaign on behalf of  Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Pull-Ups. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

I announced my Ambassador position with Pull-Ups in February, and did my first update last month on how Macyn was doing so far. Now I'm here to update you again and talk some more about potty training! As a reminder, Macyn will be our third child to potty train, and I've learned pro's and con's from potty training with our first two girls. While Macyn knows when she's going potty in her diaper, she doesn't quite have the whole understanding behind it, so now that she's hit her 2nd birthday, we're giving potty training a shot!

Honestly, I'd been worrying about this post. Macyn is moving so slow with her potty training and I was starting to think there wouldn't be anything to talk about. As posting grew closer and closer, Macyn surprised me last week (16th) with saying she needed to poop!

RECARO Performance Ride Giveaway! Ends 5/3

Welcome to the RECARO Performance Ride Convertible Car Seat Giveaway!
With over 100 years of experience in designing seats - award winning child safety begins here!
Sponsored by: RECARO
Co-Hosted by: Mommys Craft Obsession

With the birth of my first son, we purchased an infant seat simply knowing he'd need one for the trip home from the hospital. Past that, the world of convertible car seats was a bit foreign to me. While I didn't know too much in on the wide variety available at the time, I quickly learned not all car seats are equal. This kickstarted my research and passion in learning all I could about car seat safety and sharing with friends and family on ways to travel safely. I was thrilled to join forces with RECARO! With over 100 years of history designing seats, I could not wait to try out their Performance Ride Convertible Car Seat. I received their Performance Ride seat in Vibe at no cost to facilitate my review. RECARO is an international leader in seating safety, design, comfort and style. As a pioneer of child seat side impact technology, RECARO offers the peace of mind that each seat is built with superior side impact protection technology.
As a convertible car seat, the Performance Ride can be used in the rear-facing or the forward facing position when your child outgrows the recommendations for rear-facing use. It fits children 5 to 40 lbs in the rear-facing position & 20-65 lbs in the forward-facing position while also measuring under 49 inches in height. I'm a strong advocate of extending rear-facing so the rear-facing limit up to 40 lbs was especially important to me. To accommodate smaller babies, the Performance Ride also includes a removable infant insert. With a huge history in racing, they have developed their car seats with the specific design to protect a child's most vulnerable parts in a side impact collision - pelvis, head, neck, face and torso.
With protective and comfortable 'PUR' foam in the head restraint, its height can be easily adjusted with their Easy Adjust No Re-thread harness. I absolutely LOVE this feature. I'm constantly checking the height of the straps on my sons, so it's nice to be able to make adjustments without taking the seat apart. I'm able to get the perfect fit for them simply by turning a dial back or forth till it's at the correct height. (At or below shoulders for Rear-Facing & at or above for Forward-Facing) The range in harness height allows for a great deal of growth in using the seat, too. The harness straps also feature a safety stripe system, a white strip along the outer edge of the strap, to be sure neither strap is twisted when fastening and padding in the shoulder are for comfort.

Tiny Love: Discover the World PlayMat Review

Thank you Tiny Love for the Play Mat to help with this review

Tiny Love® is a multiple award-winning global toy and baby product manufacturer which was founded in 1991 by Shoshi and Isaac Oren, entrepreneurs who had built the largest chain of baby supplies and toy stores in Israel. They began branching out into the field of developmental toys by focusing on creating toys and accessories to promote and maximize baby’s development from birth through 12 months. Today, our products are distributed in more than 50 countries worldwide.

I've worked with Tiny Love multiple times over the past two years after we had our third daughter. I've watched their company grow and come out with new items that are fun for kids and parents as well, so today I'm going to tell you about the "Discover The World" Mat

This mat is great to grow with your child. When they're small there's tummy time and the child learning how to hold their head up and gain upper body strength. As they age they become aware of the great colors and textures on the mat, as well as the fun little pieces to play with along the way. Once they're sitting its something comfortable for them to sit on and continue to play with until toddler hood!

As Mya ages, out comes more toys for her development. With having four children all wanting to play together, the Discover the World Play Mat seemed like a perfect item for all of our girls to enjoy. Not only is it great for babies, but this gives plenty of room for her sisters to play with her and enjoy the nice big mat all at the same time.

Epic Vodka Blog Review

The Sazerac Company is introduced a new vodka – EPIC – named for the great moments often found in everyday living, yet sometimes taken for granted.  Made with vodka imported from France, Epic is inspired by centuries-old distilling traditions, providing the cleanest tasting vodka in an attractive bottle with an equally attractive price point.

The Sazerac Company hit the nail on the head with theses liquored spirts. Epic vodka is not only great quality but, it's also budget-friendly! They make Epic Vodka in Classic as well as 9 other flavors.

Flavors of Epic Vodka available:
Epic Classic Vodka
Epic Grape Vodka
Epic Citrus Vodka
Epic Red Berry Vodka
Epic Peach Vodka
Epic Kiwi-Strawberry Vodka
Epic Cherry Vodka
Epic Whipped Cream Vodka
Epic Coconut Vodka
Epic Cake Vodka
The makers of Epic Vodka sent me two flavors to review, Peach and Original.
