Budsies Review: Bringing Kids Art to Life

Big thanks to Budsies for creating my child's art for this review

We create custom plush toys based on your child's drawings. Kids LOVE seeing their imaginations brought to life.

When I saw Budsies for the first time, I instantly thought of our second daughter McKenzie. She has a wonderful imagination and I knew she'd love to see her work come to life. She loves dinosaurs and cars, so after talking to Budsie about this birthday surprise, I asked her to draw a dinosaur and unbeknownst to her, I sent it in for the creation.

Budsies Creations take about five weeks from the time your image is accepted until its shipped off. As soon as it arrived I couldn't wait until bed time so I could open it and take a first look at her dinosaur in person.

I was blown away when I opened the box and saw the contents. Not only did they make a stuffed toy almost to spec of what McKenzie drew, but they even printed out and framed her artwork I submitted. That to me made this item even more special, and it's just an extra touch that shows they care.

Uncommon Goods: Working Man's Hygiene Kit Review

Thanks to Uncommon Goods for the kit to write this review

UncommonGoods is an online marketplace offering creatively designed, high-quality merchandise at affordable prices. At UncommonGoods, we believe that creativity and the expression of individuality represent two great human treasures. We have set out to create a business that makes uncommon goods accessible to everyone.

My husband has been a Tow Truck Operator for eight years now. While it started as a job opportunity with his Uncle, it turned in to a passion and a life career choice for him. While he loves his job, his body suffers a lot because of the different conditions. During the Summer its hot and you deal with possible sun burns and heat exhaustion, and then in the Winter you deal with wet heavy snow and below freezing weather. Seeing the way his body reacts can be tough, so I was excited to find a "Working Man's Hygiene Kit" with some great items that could come in handy to help his ever changing body and healing.

CaringBridge’s #TheOther364 campaign #MC

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for CaringBridge. I received product a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

CaringBridge exists to connect people with their community of support in times of need. In anticipation of Father’s Day, CaringBridge created #theother364 campaign and needs your help! They want help catching dads in action—not just on Father's Day, but #theother364 days a year too—whether making breakfast, packing lunch, helping with homework, taking on lightsaber attacks, building awesome forts, or otherwise being great dads by:

  • Take a quick (under 30 seconds) video of Dad doing an act your family appreciate
  • Submit your video here by May 29th, 2014 https://theother364.strutta.com/about
  • CaringBridge will select their favorites, and edit them together into a Father's Day tribute to Dads -- celebrating them on #TheOther364 days of the year in their announcement of the final video.

I couldn't have asked for a better husband and father to my four little girls. We've been together for 10 years and he's such an amazing man. He works hard for our family to provide everything we need from groceries, to our van, to our HOME, and yet takes time on his days off to take our girls out and spend quality time with them. I couldn't ask more from him and I'm so lucky to call him my husband!

I hope you participate in this campaign and thanks for reading!

No-Cry Solution Book Reviews

Thank you Elizabeth for the books to help with this review.

Parenting educator Elizabeth Pantley is president of Better Beginnings, Inc., a family resource and education company. Elizabeth frequently speaks to parents at schools, hospitals, and parent groups around the world. Her presentations are received with enthusiasm, and praised as realistic, warm and helpful.

Out of the eleven book offered from Elizabeth's website, the two books above interested me the most. Our 5yr old daughter has always been a picker eater after having reflux issues as a baby, and developed texture issues from the delay. We also have a 2yr old that I've been wanting to potty train and the less issues the better in getting to a successful road of yet another potty trained child.

Pajama Gram: SuperMom Hoodie-Footie Review

Thanks to PajamaGram for the item to write this review
Sending a PajamaGram gift is like sending a mini-vacation. They'll receive the softest, most luxurious pajamas from our great assortment of over 100 styles for women (sizes XS-3X), men (sizes M-XXL), infants and toddlers (sizes 0-3 months - 5T), and boys and girls (sizes 6-14). And every PajamaGram gift comes in its own keepsake packaging, so it's a fun gift and you don't have to wrap a thing.

As moms we always put ourselves last. Our children and significant other always get rank and sometimes we need to remember that we're amazing powerful women and we truly are "Super Mom". I was excited to get the chance to review with Pajama Gram and loved the idea of the adorable "SuperMom Hoodie-Footie" available on their website.

I live in Indiana and we've had quite an interesting time with our weather. Not only do I love the idea behind these pajamas, but with constant weather changes it sounded like a fun option for the cooler nights. I was a little worried I might get hot in a head to toe pajama option, but being that they're made from 95% cotton, they're breathable and light weight.
