Carri Original Backpack Review

Thanks to Carri for the bag to help write this review

Carri Backpacks is a for profit company that provides durable backpacks to children in need. For every backpack we sell, we provide a backpack to an impoverished child through Childhelp, YMCA, and Communities In Schools.  Carri gives the utmost attention to detail in the manufacturing process so that our customers and these children can carry a quality backpack.

I was intrigued when I got approached about a review with Carri backpacks. While our girls don't "need" a backpack right now, I really liked all the features offered with each bag, and I wanted to learn more about this product and their company. I requested the fancier of the two bags offered, and was sent the "Carri Original" for my review.

Once the bag arrived, I was blown away in person once I started opening and reading about each section of this bag. With pockets for pens, iPads, laptops, phones, chargers and more, the possibilities of uses are endless.

I think this bag would be great for pre-teens and above with the way schools are going and electronics. A lot of schools in our state of Indiana give kids tablets to use for homework, and something like this bag with shock absorbency could help a lot with wear and tear.

The additional neoprene sleeve for laptops is a great extra as well. It fits laptops up to 15" and held mine just perfectly. I've never had a sleeve for my computer, so this was nice to get along with the bag. For college students, something like this would be a must while traveling from one class to another taking notes on their computer.

The Carri Original Backpack retails for $125, or you can get a lesser version for $85. The great thing about this company is that for every purchase made, it will directly support their non-profit partners, who have a healthy track record in providing children aid in these environments.

I like how there are pockets for both a laptop and tablet.

I really like that the straps have a lot of padding. They can get really uncomfortable without enough padding.

I like that the front entirely unzips for easy access.

I have two features that I like, the Cushion Shock Absorber and the Heavy Padded Backing/Shoulder Straps. Both of these are wonderful features to protect your computer and your shoulders. dwelchert at yahoo dot com

The best feature for me of the backpack is the pocket for the tablet. My son uses the Ipad to talk and I always make sure its in his backpack. I would worry less if it were in a pocket.

I like the heavy padded backing for shoulder straps, and that would help ensure comfort and more support for person carrying the backpack

the extra padding in the shoulder straps is a big plus as my daughter's backpack is so heavy. I also love the laptop and tablet compartments!
