Shortly after Halloween last year, our two oldest girls let me know this year they wanted to be Elsa and Anna from Frozen. While it was all the rave last year, I feel as though this year they'll still be a hit. I got the bright idea to have all our girl's match with this Frozen theme, and I posted about Macyn's Olaf costume back in April as I started the process to get everyone's ideas together.

I really liked this version of the Anna Costume from Costume Discounters because of the light sleeves and long dress. Since we live in Indiana, Halloween is normally cold, so it'll be nice to have some extra layers and long pieces to help keep her some what warm. McKenzie turned six this past May but I chose to get her a medium which fits suggested sizes 7-8 to make sure it fit. While my girls are petite, I didn't want to run the risk of something not fitting in a month and then scrambling to find a replacement.

The only issue we have with this outfit is the purple section of the costume. It is too big around the waist but not by much, so I'll just pin it for the day and she'll be good to go. Instead of black dress shoes like Anna, we'll do black tennis shoes because of weather, and they'll just peak out underneath and still look cute. Since she likes her hair short I'll have to find a cute alternative instead of braids, but over all we both love the costume and she's thrilled for the big day.

I was a little surprised in seeing this as a full three piece costume, but it is and goes together easily. The purple under side is a skirt, then you put on the blue section which looks like the dress with sleeves, and then the vest slips over the head last to complete the look. It's more of a velvet material while the other sections are a satin type feel.

This costume retails on the Costume Discounters site for $16.97, but it's currently on sale for $13.58. It comes in two sizes, small and medium, and they fit 4-8 depending on the size you get. You can also select other accessories to purchase with the costume like a wig, shoes, cloak, and more that might look great with this costume.
