Celebrating our Blogiversary with Freshly Picked Moccasins

I received products for free in exchange for a review. All thoughts/opinions are my own!

Susan Petersen started making baby moccasins in 2009 after becoming frustrated by the lack of well-designed baby shoes. Using her second child, Gus, as a mocc-tester, and a bag of scrap leather she picked up at a yard sale, she began experimenting with designs. Working at her kitchen table, on a shoestring budget, Susan persisted through some disastrous attempts until she had created a pair of moccasins that not only looked adorable on Gus’ chubby little feet, but stayed on his feet as well.

Since then the moccasins have gone through about six design changes. Each change has perfected the look and the fit of the soft-soled shoe. The moccasins you purchase today are durable, well designed, and most importantly: stay on your child’s foot.

I can't believe that we are already four years old!!! With that being said, I have a fun company to tell you about, and offer a giveaway as a part of our birthday celebration!

I chose to review a pair of moccasins for Mya because she's still in a stroller a lot and I'm always wanting her to have something comfortable on her feet. When we're out and about running errands, I hate putting tennis shoes on her feet at times because they can be uncomfortable, so I thought with moccasins she would be comfortable and stylish at the same time!

I really liked the Rose Gold color because it's a subtle shade of pink, can go with just about any outfit, and it's not an over all bright over bearing color like your typical pink can be. Pink is my favorite color and having four little girls, it is a handy color, but I couldn't wait to get these in the mail and see them in person. I chose a size 3 for Mya based off their size chart, and she is right now a couple months shy of her second birthday and weighing about 24 pounds.

Our weather drastically change before I was able to get some cute outdoor photos, but I think she really likes her moccasins. She loves running after her sisters around the front yard and enjoying the fresh air when possible, but otherwise when we're out and about she's in a stroller. The moccasins feel so soft to the touch, they're easy to move around and fit on the child's foot, and they're made of 100% genuine leather. These are best designed for babies and toddlers featuring a soft sole bottom, and they feature a unique design with elastic around the top. This helps to ensure a wide opening to get your child's foot in, but also a nice strong fit that will stay in place and not slide off over time.

Not only can you purchase solid colors, but they also offer some patterns like leopard print and even pepperoni pizza! My favorite is the skeleton feet which would be great for Halloween and beyond for a funky cute touch.

They offer a variety of sizes and differences depending on the child you're shopping for and their age. You can get "Crib Moccs" which are ideal for newborn to 3-5 months depending on your child's growth and retails for $45. Next is the normal Moccs like we reviewed which is made to fit from a tiny baby foot up to 6.95" and retails for $60. Next on their website is "The Next Step" which features the hard sole shoes, leather, and elastic shoe strings for easy slipping on and off. They retail for $80 and currently come in four colors on their website.
