HALO Muslin SleepSack Review

I received samples for this review. All opinions are my own.

HALO Innovations is dedicated to putting the health, safety and well-being of babies first. In fact, over 1,300 hospitals use HALO® SleepSack® wearable blankets through the HALO Safer Way to Sleep Initiative.  The HALO family of products, including HALO SleepSacks and SleepSack Swaddles, SwaddeSure and the best-selling HALO BassinestTM Swivel Sleeper, help children from newborn to toddler age sleep better and safer.

HALO’s founder lost his own child to SIDS and has made it his mission to raise awareness about safe sleep for babies. HALO provides SleepSack Swaddles free of charge to more than 1,300 hospitals nationwide and is constantly looking for ways to educate parents, caregivers and childbirth educators in sleep safety.

The Halo SleepSack wearable blanket replaces loose blankets in the crib that can cover your baby's face and interfere with breathing. In addition to sleeping safer, it helps babies sleep better, too. It's a warm cuddly blanket they can't kick off; ensuring baby sleeps soundly throughout the night.

Recently I posted about Max and the wonderful SwaddleSure Adjustable Swaddling Pouch, but once he hit about two months or so in age, we switched him full time to SleepSacks. We have a variety of them already from Max's older sisters, but I was excited to try the new Muslin SleepSack because of the trendy chevron print, the lightweight breathable material, and so he didn't have to wear pink LOL.

Available in sizes small to extra large, sleep sacks are great for up to two years old!! I fell in love with this chevron print as soon as I saw it on the Halo website, and it just looks so comfortable! These particular sleepsacks are 100% cotton muslin which is lightweight, soft and breathable. Perfect for Summer weather, you're giving your child the feeling of a blanket and a little warmth without making them too hot and uncomfortable with other varieties like fleece. Retail for these sleepsacks is $28.95 and they last for several months with each size. Since you can machine wash with like colors, there's no extra care for them and with the zipper starting at the bottom, they're a breeze for middle of the night diaper changes.

Safety is always my number one priority with my childnen and I love that I've been able to use HALO and their products for the past almost nine years dating back to the birth of my first child. One thing I was taught in my hospital was sleeping safety and I was lucky that our hospital worked in connection with HALO to receive a swaddle at birth. Fast forward from 2007 and we've received one with each new baby we've welcomed in to our life, and then we've been able to continue the "back is best" policy with the help of swaddles, sleepsacks, and even early walkers all thanks to HALO.

As we close out our journey with baby items since Maximus is our last child, I try to pass on the knowledge and items as we outgrow them to ensure others around me are safe and secure knowing they're in the best of hands with great baby products.
