Silver Dolphin Books presents Super Sticker Activity Books

Items were sent in order to help with this review. All opinions are my own.

Silver Dolphin Books publishes activity, novelty, and educational nonfiction books for preschoolers to 12-year-olds. Highly interactive formats such as the Field Guides and Uncover series both educate and entertain older children. The lovable characters of the Maurice Pledger series and the boldly illustrated Snappy Sounds series appeal to both young children and parents alike.

Having five children means that we have wide varieties of books, toys, and activities in our home to accommodate all ages. I was excited to try these new activity books from Silver Dolphin because Macyn and Mya are right at the age range of loving stickers and getting the hang of special books like these.

Maximus Update: 4 Months Old

I can't believe my last update was when Max was 1 month old! I feel like he's changed so much since those photos which is incredibly sad to this mama.

Max was 7lb 7oz at birth, 7lb 0oz when we left the hospital, 7lb 4oz at one week, 7lb 13oz at two weeks, and then 9lb 4oz at one month! At his four month check up today he weighed in at FIFTEEN POUNDS!!!! I seriously can't believe it. He is quite the eater compared to his sisters and goes through a ton of formula. We got the ok to start cereal (I know its a "filler") and that's just to practice eating so we can move up to baby food! I'm so excited we have the whole Baby Bullet line to hopefully just make his foods from our kitchen instead of buying baby food in a jar. I've tried this in the past with other brands and it felt like more work then it was worth but I'm really excited to try again because he needs more filling things in his diet besides just formula.

Freshly Picked Moccasins

I received products for free in exchange for a review. All thoughts/opinions are my own!

Susan Petersen started making baby moccasins in 2009 after becoming frustrated by the lack of well-designed baby shoes. Using her second child, Gus, as a mocc-tester, and a bag of scrap leather she picked up at a yard sale, she began experimenting with designs. Working at her kitchen table, on a shoestring budget, Susan persisted through some disastrous attempts until she had created a pair of moccasins that not only looked adorable on Gus’ chubby little feet, but stayed on his feet as well.

Since then the moccasins have gone through about six design changes. Each change has perfected the look and the fit of the soft-soled shoe. The moccasins you purchase today are durable, well designed, and most importantly: stay on your child’s foot.

I first reviewed with Freshly Picked back in the Fall with Mya and her first pair of Moccasins. They were so adorable and soft, I knew when I had Maximus that I wanted to get him a pair as well. I have this problem with putting shoes on my kids' feet as babies, so when that first Winter hits they hate shoes!! I wanted to ensure it was different with Maximus so I knew Moccasins would be a good easy shoe to have him wear.

I chose to get Max a pair of black Freshly Picked Moccasins so they could go with any outfit he wore. Black is pretty timeless and looks great with whatever pairing you choose, so I was thrilled to receive them. The moccasins feature a soft-sole and are made with 100% durable, wear-tested leather that's suitable for infants and toddlers. Because of the elastic at the opening, it makes the shoes easy to put on or take off, and they actually stay on your child’s foot. I have a pair of other shoes I have tried to put on Max and as soon as he's in his car-seat and kicking around they pop right off his feet and end up in my purse instead of on his feet which is so frustrating.

I love the fringe around the ankle and on the top front of the shoe because it adds a little style and flair over all and the bag that comes with each pair is a nice touch since you're ordering a higher priced nice pair of shoes for your child. I like to store Max's shoes in the bag when we're not using them so they can be easily found and also kept in nice shape and away from grabby hands of his sisters.

They offer a variety of sizes and differences depending on the child you're shopping for and their age. You can get "Crib Moccs" which are ideal for newborn to 3-5 months depending on your child's growth and retails for $45. Next is the normal Moccs like we reviewed which is made to fit from a tiny baby foot up to 6.95" and retails for $60. Next on their website is "The Next Step" which features the hard sole shoes, leather, and elastic shoe strings for easy slipping on and off. They retail for $80 and currently come in four colors on their website.

If you're looking for high quality, fashionable footwear for your children then I would definitely check out Freshly Picked Moccasins! To keep up to date on their sales, new patterns, and more follow them on social media. They have FacebookTwitterPinterest, and Instagram.

The Struggles of Baby Colic

I received a free sample of [Gerber® Good Start® Infant formula or Gerber® Soothe probiotic colic drops] from Gerber. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

As a mother to now five children, every child will have their ups and downs. I've found that Maximus, whether its gender or not, is a totally different baby compared to his sisters! All my kids are clingy, I assume because I'm their mother and their 24/7 caretaker, but I'm blessed to be able to be a stay at home mother because my husband takes on the burden of working 50+ hours a week to provide one check for our household.

Early on in Max's life, just like with his sisters, I breastfed. Max and I had a huge struggle with thrush that lasted over a month with countless days and nights of crying {from both of us!}, throwing fits, and rough times that seemed in the moment wouldn't get better. While I was battling getting us both better, I remembered I had some Gerber Soothe Colid Drops from my blog post back in March, so I decided to give them a try for the excessive all the time crying Max had.

LuLaRoe: An Overview Of My Post Baby Style

Some items were sent for review. All opinions are 100% my own

LuLaRoe is a fashion brand that specializes in women's and girls skirts, dresses and leggings. They also offer different kinds of shirts, kimonos, and more. They have nice solid prints, funky fun patterns, and sweet simple patterns to choose from. You can also get men's shirts and they offer neutral kids clothes that boys and wear!

This post is LONG over due! My little guy Maximus will be four months August 24 and I can't believe how fast time has flown by. I never really expected having him would tear me away from the blog so much but I am getting through it the best I can.

I'm always trying to learn as much as I can about LuLaRoe because I'm an aspiring consultant, so this next step of the journey was different for me. I would be wearing LuLaRoe for the first time NOT pregnant, like the majority of shoppers you see in all the groups! I wore LuLaRoe in to the hospital and knew I would wear it out, but I have to be honest in saying that I was a little nervous. Was I going to still love the clothing like I had while pregnant? Will the shirts I loved now fit me different and hang on me unlike before because of my precious baby bump? Only time would tell and that started with my discharge from the hospital.

WubbaNub Pacifiers!

Thanks to WubbaNub for the items to help with this review

They say “necessity is the mother of invention” and for Carla Schneider, it was an absolute necessity that she soothe her infant baby on their first vacation as a family. What was supposed to be a relatively relaxing, blissful time was replaced with non-stop fussing and crying. After days of the ever-persistent “missing pacifier syndrome”, Carla knew she needed to take matters into her own hands. She found the hotel sewing kit and took her baby’s favorite soft plush toy and sewed the pacifier right onto it. Thus, a happy ending for the Schneider family’s vacation and the birth of the first WubbaNub!

Our hospital gives out Soothe pacifiers if you decide to give them your baby. I've always liked them the best, and when I discovered WubbaNub I thought it was a great invention! Our cats were always stealing our baby's pacifiers and chewing the tips off, so I made a purchase from Zoey's Attic for my youngest daughter's first WubbaNub. I chose the dog as a Christmas gift since she was only a couple weeks old, and it was a huge hit! Fast forward to Easter and I made another WubbaNub purchase from Buy Buy Baby and decided on the duck since it went with the Easter theme. Mya and I worked together on a blog review with WubbaNub when she was six months old, and now I'm thrilled to share our experience with Maximus!

Back to School with Zoey's Attic Personalized Gifts

I received products/compensation in exchange for a review. All thoughts/opinions are my own!

Zoey’s Attic officially launched in November 2006 by creator and owner Erin Delanty.  The inspiration for the website came shortly after the birth of their first child. Once they decided to grow their family it was a no brainer to have the store where families could come and get personalized items for children of any age!

If you're a long time follower of this blog, you'll know that I truly LOVE this company!! Zoey's Attic Personalized Gifts has helped us celebrate amazing milestones in our family such as births of my babies, birthdays, and even holidays, but one tradition I hold close to my heart is this school tradition I started.
